Oh no, my kryptonite. A toggle in the settings that makes me go find something else to do. If it's not all for attention and sympathy from strangers it should be no problem to set your shit to private. I mean yeah the algorithm won't see you that way but neither will I.

I also don't remember wiring peoples eyes open and forcing them to read things I post on a forum that isn't even available over clearnet for weeks at a time or printing it out and shoving it under their door. My pocket theory is a lot of them read here because they enjoy seeing their "friends" get picked apart and the same way they're confident they'll survive sepsis, they're confident they won't end up on here.

I've never seen this niche of the farms as bullying. If you don't want people to know and examine a part of your life, you don't post it. For me, I think that it is bullying to engage with people in a cruel way if they cannot avoid you. As in a classmate a kid can't avoid constantly picking fights or talking shit might be bullying. Ladies (with an eye for spotting discrepancies in the astonishing amount of personal data these people put out years on end) discussing the oddness we notice and discussing why we find this pattern of behaviors to be problematic is not bullying. The interesting thing to me is that these girls almost certainly have private groups they talk and post in and those posts are very rarely ever posted here. Occasionally a private message gets leaked here, but 90%+ on here especially in the last few years has been purely public instgram/tiktok/facebook accounts. Earlier on, in a more lcf vibe, there were more leaked things by former friends that maybe one could argue was closer to bullying (but still not imo).

Long time lurker but I had to make an account for this.
Has anyone heard of Dr Predap Chopra? He’s in Rhode Island and has deep ties with the Muldowney Clinic. He does a 4-8 hour long appointment where he goes through every system and then hands you a list of diagnoses. Very little if any testing actually done and a lot of it is “well you probably have this so I’ll diagnose you”
I’ll do a longer write up on him soon but I wanted to see if anyone else has heard of him. I don’t know if any munchies talked about here have gone to him but I’ll do my due diligence to look

Yeah he was the one who backed up the CRPS diagnosis in the Take Care of Maya case. He has a whole spiel about how moms are being falsely accused of child abuse (archive link) because their kid has [insert pain condition] and needs ketamine for it.

The sedative effects of that sweet, sweet benny aren't worth the long-term increased risk of dementia.

Does EMDR actually do anything for cluster-B fuckups? I understand how it works for specific phobias and actual concrete traumas and it seems a very good alternative or supplemental treatment for things like that. But people with "it's totally cptsd" cluster-B issues have, by definition, a basically infinite list of "things that traumatized me." Not to mention they tend to lie, have poor insight into how things actually happened, or exaggerate real events. If you were traumatized literally every single day of your childhood, how are you supposed to tackle that in EMDR sessions? It's not the same as needing help to process the experience of a car crash, a rape, or something you saw in war.

I would imagine a cluster-B person going through EMDR would just freak out as hard as possible during a session to prove how ultimately traumatized they were by the time their boyfriend broke up with them and told everyone they were crazy (evil gaslighting narc!), while thriving off the support of the therapist. They'd go "I'M SUCH A NEW, STRONGER PERSON" afterwards, only to react the exact same way the next time they get rejected by a guy they flirt with, and never really mature.

This is one of the more recent theories they are testing the waters with, the fact is we aren't even 100% sure personality disorders are caused by trauma. Obviously there are strong indications for that being the case, but we just aren't sure. EDMR is not new, but its widespread use is, and they've seen some good results with it and trauma disorders. It's not very well understood as a treatment, and there have only been a handful of large scale, peer-reviewed studies and trials on its efficacy. It has been shown to be effective for PTSD only, and not in anything else. When it's used for things like BPD, it's experimental.

All that rambling to say right now there is no strong evidence one way or another that EDMR does anything for any personality disorder.

I started following her after reading her Covid lockdown shenanigans here on the farm (can’t remember who made the long form posts on her but she were excellent) and she seems to be ramping up again gradually since getting her way with various surgeries and costing the UK government a fortune to install all sorts of accessibility features she doesn’t need. I hate to think of people who actually need these things that don’t get them because munchies always scream louder than real disabled people

Her timeline not pulling in google searches is I, think, because trannys complain about the farms and got kiwifarms delisted from google searches. Of course because it’s an evil website. I just tested with a couple of munchies and the same thing. She may also be utilising GDPR rights to take down things for other things.

Another recent thing that’s hilarious that yet again she needs a new wheelchair because she admits she’s ate her away out of her old one. And it’s broken. But yet again she’s claiming what the nhs/wheelchair services offer is only hospital chairs (lies) and she needs to crowd fund something better. A carbon fibre tapered chair to fit her totally real scoliosis and spinal issues.

She’s yeeted from her therapist and ADHD services and she’s not happy about this at all. She was told not to take ADHD meds because she alleged the made her psychotic but then decided she wanted them again. A Junkie will always be a junkie I guess

If you were traumatized literally every single day of your childhood, how are you supposed to tackle that in EMDR sessions?

If the incidents every single day share the same broad brush, anecdotally, it can. It sort of makes sense if you imagine the brain processing both these events and the therapy as some form of pattern matching but I can provide no evidence for that or the claim in my previous sentence.

The concern I would have, as a total non-expert, is the safety of the patient while the therapy is ongoing. Unless they can cope with like 8 hour sessions (and the practitioner can too). If you bring up the actual events without resolving them in the same session I'd be concerned for how the patient would cope. You could maybe try to compartmentalise, but I don't think so, the brain is weird so its pattern matches will take any turns they like (another example would be, think of total geniuses who come up with mad out of the way conceptual leaps. It takes mortals a minute or two to figure it out but there is a pattern there.). Try as you like I don't see how you could prevent all of the trauma coming up at once.

My anecdotal evidence is based on experiences widely acknowledged to be traumatic, not that time your mum said no to you. So in that sense, probably wouldn't work on cluster B fuckups.

Not really no. She’s claiming deQuervains, which an awful lot of women get after having babies, it’s also called ‘mummy thumb’ for that very reason. It’s a repetitive strain injury, you know how you pick a baby up if it’s lying on its back? You kind of go under the arms with your hands held with the thumbs up and lift the baby under the arms in the crook of that thumb and fingers? That’s what causes it for women mainly. It is painful but it’s usually short term, once you stop being able to lift the baby like, or you need to engage the rest of the arm more it’ll heal (postpartum women are very prone to tendon issues due to relaxin and having to lug about a heavy baby constantly.) treatment is a splint and rest. It’s not usually disabling.
What’s funny here is that feeding yourself wouldn’t really be an issue but the movement where you’re screwing a screw in (grip n twist with a screwdriver) is out, it’ll cause you pain and make the tendons in your wrist make unpleasant (but fairly harmless) snappy noises.

It’s one of the reasons a lot of women struggle with jars after having a baby for a while - grip and twist is the weakness. It usually goes after a while
