Featured on Mar 26, 2024 by Null: The Francis Scott Key bridge, an important part of the Baltimore-D.C. I-695 Beltway, has collapsed after being impacted by a Singaporean cargo ship manned by a crew of 22 Indians.
No article yet as this just happened, but could be big. One of the largest bridges in the world according to Wikipedia.

And thus begins the game of everyone hunting for any piece of news on who the fuck was at the wheel to settle down the "guess the race" bet.
Im gonna go against the grain and bet on white male, simply because steering a steel container cargo ship doesn't seem like a job that would attract many women and because it seems too high on the competency totem pole to have too many blacks, if im wrong i'm blaming DEI hiring practices
 
Never felt so justified in my night terrors about drowning trapped in a vehicle. Assuming it wasn't a mechanical error, I hope the incompetent fuck who did this doesn't try to take the ACK way out.

Apparently the bridge, besides being a regular bridge, was also a designated hazardous materials truck route. Hopefully nothing related to that piece of information comes up in the aftermath of this incident.

you the west is fallen fuckers are the weirdest straw clutchingest bunch. some retard fucked up sailing the ship and it hit one of the bridge piers. the ship was way more than big enough to wreck that pier

some chink hit a bridge with a container ship in china a month ago. luckily it was a smaller ship and didn't hit a pier so only a small section collapsed

Awful. On one hand, it's the middle of the night, so much less traffic and therefore potential victims. On the other hand, it's the middle of the night, so it's pitch black, and the experience of the victims is that much more horrific, and attempts at recovering people alive are much, much more difficult.

I'm interested to see how exactly this happened, specifically with the ship. That is one massive fuck up that just ruined a ton of lives.
 
I can only imagine how horrifying it must have been to be driving at that moment and then out of a sudden everything collapses under you.
It creeps me the fuck out just thinking about it.
