It's instrumentalizing the language of sympathy and oppresion to justify why their behaviors aren't bad. I don't think this person really believes, or at least didn't at some point before the doublethink kicked in, that anxiety about microwave use legitimated spending way too much money on doordash, but the thing about a lot of the language of oppression that goes around Twitter is that you can use it for anything, it's a tool set that's value neutral. Not unlike the way grifters hijack the language of evangelical Christianity to trick idiots into giving them money, there's a whole bunch of online narcissists who use the language of acceptance and progress to grift people into giving them sympathy. This is really most prevalent with disability, where the whole spoonie shit has basically just made a legion of people with mild depression or anxiety (or nothing at all beyond being self-centered) act as though their problems are the equivalent of having multiple sclerosis, so you can't criticize them for being lazy, unemployed, fat or stupid. These are the same people who won't stop talking about how "cishet" men are so coddled and never face any problems whatsoever, in between talking about their personal struggle and journey after being diagnoses with ADHD and finding it hard to "adult" . It's the same type of people as the autistic who was running r/antiwork and went on Fox to explain how he just hated having a job (who was also a troon iirc).

Note that this all started from somebody commenting that he noticed someone in their building was ordering coffee and a bagel via doordash every day, and pointing out how wasteful and privileged that is. People felt called out by this, I'm sure Justine Barron was one of them, and set about trying to find a way to rationalize their behavior as okay, and in fact prove that the person complaining about it is the real bigot and should check their privilege instead. The argument, which seems to be getting some traction among the idiot lib set, has now morphed into any criticism of somebody literally ordering food with a premium cost associated to it every day is tantamount to attacking the poor, because a minority of people in lower income brackets also order food in once every 3 months.

I also think it's a massive L for society that these people are allowed to call themselves doctors and practice "medicine" (read: butchery), considering not too long ago people who were born intersex were having an op to make them one or the other.
