ETA: If anyone is wondering who this guy is that has been terrorizing me and my children… i will put his latest video post in the comments. Warning, it’s long and it’s offensive.

TLDR: a detective is coming to my house Tuesday afternoon to speak with me and my children, because my ex is psycho, and I am looking for advice on how to explain this to them before hand.

There is a restraining order in place, protecting my five year old and I, against my child’s father (we will call him AV) because he is basically an unhinged person with psychotic tendencies and extreme anger issues. I have removed myself from all social media (except here) and have had to go no contact with certain friends because AV regularly posts rants, filled with rage and lies, accusing me of grooming our child and various other forms of abuse. AV has violated the DVRO multiple times, been arrested and posted bail, and continues to harass us. Every few months he gets a wild hair up his ass and calls the police to do a welfare check. The last time was about six months ago, the police came knocking on my door about a half hour after we got home from preschool. (My older child was not home) They did their thing and asked their questions and declared all well and left. That was traumatic enough, but I was able to talk my way out of it with my young child and move on. Last week I received a call from a detective saying that AV has been repeatedly calling the police accusing me of mental and emotional abuse and even went as far as to go into the police station demanding they open a case against me. The police have reminded him that, not only is there a restraining order but, he ALSO signed away his parental rights and gave me sole legal and physical custody. That was AV’s choice, his idea and his proposal in court to the judge. He is a relentless abuser who will do anything in his power to make me miserable and interrupt our otherwise pleasant lives. So, they have to come to my house on Tuesday to interview me and my children (my 8 year old is not AV’s and is on the spectrum and will be home). I don’t know what to tell the kids. I don’t know how to explain why the police are at our house asking personal and invasive questions. My kids are very intelligent and will not accept a half assed explanation, especially the older one. So… Do I be honest and explain AV is at it again? Do I come up with a lie and try not to F it up? (I am a terrible liar) What would you do?

I was encouraged to do gentle exercises within a week or so of the surgery which mostly involved raising my arm sideways. The idea was that this would stop the scar from being so tight that future mobility would be limited. It was not much fun but now the scar (while still somewhat tight and uncomfortable) does not limit my arm movement. From memory I think I was meant to avoid anything strenuous. Perhaps the guidance has now changed, but google suggests this course is still recommended.

One thing that will prevent this from happening is pinching the scar, kneading it with you fingers and deeply massaging it after the wound and whatever underneath has healed. What you're doing is breaking up the fibrous tissue that develops from a scar. You'll need to do this weekly for a year. If its already healed 1 year+ from the surgery date, it will still help, just not as much as if was done in that critical period after the surgery.

Pardon if this is late, and I'll take all the clocks, but I saw a Reddit post pointing out that tides are changing only because troons are no longer the underdogs.

Also an interesting comment (that actually got upvotes) on how gender roles are what is meant by gender being a "social construct". I will add that basis of gender is literally intertwined with sex. "Third genders" are just fancy labels for saying that someone doesn't act/present themselves as whatever a society considers to be "masculine" or "feminine" (look at the ladyboy, bakla, travesti, etc).

Though Reddit being torn apart by the troon sports issue is hilarious. They either support troons by being misogynistic, or support women's sports and put a disclaimer that they're not troonphobic. Also, some highlight wheter they're a troon or not. No one can question why Lia Thomas and others transitioned, or how they've won events.
