Women tend to smell less than men, because one of the things testosterone does is make the skin more oily (which results in oilier sweat which is where the smell comes from). It’s why acne is often associated with excessive testosterone levels, the skin produces so much oil it clogs the pores.
It makes sense that a dog would be able to tell if someone is taking HRT, they have extremely sensitive noses, but I don’t imagine it would make you unrecognisable to them. My dogs have never had any problems recognising me just because I’ve changed perfume. Smell is their strongest sense, not their only one. They’ll also recognise you visually and by voice.
