New crotch smell from HRT bothering me... help?

Hi there, so I have a hygiene issue and I'm looking to see if this happened to anyone else, and for advice. I'm pre-op FYI. Before I transitioned I basically had what I thought was a pretty standard male smell down there with my parts. It was usually almost unnoticeable to myself and from what partners would tell me, unless I hadnt showered in a while and did a workout or had sex or something, and it never seemed to bother me or partners.

When transitioning, I noticed a few days into HRT that all smell down there was absolutely gone, like nothing at all. At first I was like cool that's a nice benefit, but then slowly between a week and two weeks later a new smell showed up. Its hard to be sure, but I swear it smells very similar to what I remember previous cis girlfriends' parts down there smelling. At first I guess it was euphoric like oh wow I think I smell like a woman??? But quickly it started to bother me as it's such a strong smell. Every time I pull my pants down I'm hit by it and it's overwhelming and starting to just be gross to me. It's only not there if I'm fresh out of the shower as I clean well down there.. Im pretty sure?

And that's what's confusing to me like I believe I practice good hygiene down there but every day within an hour or two it's back to smelling strongly. I'm now 4 months into HRT and it's stronger than ever. It's a sort of vagina-like smell, distinct, but nothing at all like I used to smell like anywhere on my body. I haven't had any serious partners while trans yet so haven't done anything sexual but I'm kind of scared to. There's a guy Im really interested in and hoping to date and if that works out, I do think/hope he might be my first sexual partner as a trans girl, so I wanna get this figured out. I'm mortified by potentially smelling terrible, or even a if a future partner didnt care/notice, if I smell myself it's going to instantly put me out of the mood or something, ugg.

This happen to anyone else? And if it did, how'd you deal with it? Is there something I can improve with hygiene, or maybe it's just noticable to me and partners won't care? All advice or experiences welcome, thank you <3

Just wanted to put this somewhere in case it helps anyone else who's scared of their hair never coming back. I'm 23, had horrific mpd genetics and my hairline started dying at like 16. I don't think the minoxidil I'm mixing with it does does much but I was given dutasteride(more effective version of finasteride) along with my E (both started nov 1st 2023) and as of a little before month 5 it's started to come back super fast! I was missing like 4", it was terrible but since it finally started working maybe 2 weeks ago i've already got hair back on almost half of that! Such a massive relief, I was so scared it would never happen. Soon I will no longer be Hat Girl

firstly sorry to anyone who doesn't feel they have an ally -( you certainly do have an ally here) I'm have no desire to gloat but I want to shout out my amazing allies.
The first two I came out to were my sisters. I never doubted it but they are truly phenomenal. I wrote them a message on WhatsApp. spent hours with my finger literally hovering over the send button
They unconditionally accepted me for what I was without hesitation. Offered me support, love and understanding. We have always been fairly close and this just reinforced it. They are also some of the only people I have sent photos of my in fem mode to.
The next person is my most trusted friend. I have honestly shared more of my warts n all story and deepest secrets with them than anyone else the planet, there is no topic that i wouldn't trust them with. and again they totally support me and I entirely trust them to not reveal anything I don't want. We do have a very friendly and concentual back n forth banter where we both casually drop things into conversation that have so much hidden meaning but are subtle enough that no one else picks up on it. They have also been a delivery address for me for things I couldn't have delivered home.
I truly love all my allies .

I've been quietly in the closet after hatching for about 2 years. I'm married and from very initial conversations I've had I am very clear that my wife whilst she has no issues with the LGBTQ+ community she has no desire to be married to a woman. I have no ill will against her for this. its a really reasonable position to take. As a bit of a experiment I paid for a MtF makeover and dressing experience. and to say I'm over the moon with the pics is an understatement. I found I spent so much time looking at myself in the mirror - something I never do. I caught my self admiring my figure, ny looks etc wiggling at myself. this was very alien experience. I'm not especially one that suffers dysphoria. but I did get significant euphoria and I'm already planning the next visit. I'm now in a bit of a tailspin. where do I go from here. being realistic. this is the result of a little over an hour of pro makeup by someone who does precisely this for a living. if I sat and attempted it - it'd be a mess. sorry I know there is no right answer to all this.

Some highlights:

What happened with me was that my cleaning method for down there became insufficient after HRT. I had a lot more loose skin that created pockets that my normal method wouldn't get to. This created a bad smell over time. Had to then carefully stretch out the skin, making sure I clean all the nooks and crannies. Smell went back to normal after that.

Nigga what "method" do you need to wash your junk? Lather up your washcloth or sponge, scrub that shit, and rinse off. It's not rocket science.

Also, HRT is apparently turning him into a deathfat with pockets of "loose skin" trapping his ladyscent.

My smell is quite potent and I keep myself pretty clean. The strange thing to me, is that while the freshly released stench smells like horrid death, my undies smell so pleasant. Like, I want a potpourri of my femme underwear.

Funny aside, I caught my wife huffing my panties panties once, their embarrassment of being caught plain to see. I just looked at them and said, "smells fucking amazing, doesn't it? Stop hogging, I want a hit of that!"
