His lawyer is a real person with experience, at least.


He went to a real college/law school, and then was a public defender in Miami for a decade. He won some cases at the intermediate appellate level. He did criminal cases for most of his career, but there's a big overlap when it comes to Fourth Amendment issues so it's probably not that out of his range of knowledge. Patrick could have done worse, honestly.
 
Why is he demanding a jury? His experiences on Twitter should show that his peers are deeply unsympathetic to his plights

So one good thing that might come from this is that we get some hard data on how often he actually gets swatted. I'm sure Sgt. Evans's version of events will be somewhat different to Pat's.

Knowing Pat he probably thinks there will be a moment where he takes the stand and gives an emotional monologue that stuns the entire court and reduces even the hardened judge to tears who then orders all his stalkerchilds arrested immediately and to let the record show that Pat is definitely not fat by any medical standard.
 
Lyndon also has the police union to back him up if he needs it.

I don't know - I wouldn't assume settlement just yet. Pat wouldn't get to make a speech in court if they reached one and you know he wants it - not to mention that they'll offer him a lowball amount of money and he could reject it.

I think the MPD has some stuff to work with here, just based on the two recordings we have of him being aggressive and ordering cops around. Also if he has done anything wrong at all it's going to come out. Maybe that's why he was so edgy on the 28th? He's been bad this week. I wonder what the cops have that we don't know about.

Also LMAO at the suit referring to "Niki and Patrick" and not PLAINTIFF
