I think I have the same one as hers. It doesn’t or shouldn’t make any noise. I thought she mentioned buying a mask in Kuwait… I could be wrong.
Having said that, she needs a new one. They don’t last forever.
 
I was intrigued by her multiple uses of the word "can't" when she said she can't cam up. I also thought her revelation that she cannot actually stand for seven minutes in order to shower was significant. And her constant complaints about pain are noteworthy too.

None of this is going to get "better" unless she starts engaging in real exercise and starts treating her diabetes, neither of which she is capable of doing or even willing to do.

Will her inability to stand for seven minutes eventually improve to an ability to stand for, say, twelve minutes? How? A normal person could build up some muscle strength and improve endurance with some daily exercise. But if she is now resigned to being cramped in her tiny fartbox of an apartment, and she is now freed from even a minimal attempt to look presentable before a camera (I mean her version of "presentable" not ours), then what could possibly motivate her to improve her strength and prevent further decline?

While I do believe she will cam up again eventually, I also think we are going to notice some actual physical deterioration. For all her eye-rolling and sarcastic remarks and ironic titles, this really is looking like she is teetering on the precipice of no return. This is how the bedbound era was always going to begin. She would reach the point where standing becomes impossible and the deterioration of her physical appearance begins to accelerate.

Whether this is it or not remains to be seen. But if the Kuwait larp continues and she remains in that apartment, she will not improve. A new dawn is almost upon us. An era of unregulated drug use facilitated by shady pharmacists and quack cures with sunlight and marigolds.

At this point, the Shit Prince has probably thrown up his hands at this mess; nothing he has tried has worked, and it should be obvious even to a moron like him that nothing ever will. And even she has given up, years ago actually, but now she is facing the ramifications of giving up, which only defeat her further.

For years, I was hoping that the bedbound/death era would be preceded by manic craziness, sobbing and bargaining, rampant acts of defiance, and insane lashing out. But Chantal never fails to disappoint; we might get nothing better than a slow fade off camera.

We've seen her messed up before, but I can't recall her being more infirm. Even during her hysterectomy adventure, she was wildly active in comparison, driving all over the province and eating like a whale. She is in far worse shape now.

Rainbow me if you must, but I think we are at the fringes of the 'new Chantal', one who is legitimately stuck in bed and unable to do anything but get worse.

Escaping Kuwait could possibly stave off this decline a bit longer, but she already blew that chance.

Sucks to be her.

This is something I've wondered about since she started using the avatard.

One of our favorite pasttimes as a community is comparing before and afters of Chantal. However, these comparisons are usually accompanied by debate as to what has and has not changed, and what is just the camera freaking out due to filters.

We know she's getting even bigger as we speak. And I doubt the sUnShInE sTrEnGtHeNiNg HeR bOnEs is going to counteract her predictable diet. So when we see her again, it's not going to be like before, where one day she shifts her body at an odd angle and the extra 10-15lbs she's gained suddenly becomes noticeable.

No, if she shows herself on camera again, it is going to be dramatic. And objectively frightening.

The Sansa Cooks video is worth the 16 or so minutes it takes to watch. The interviewed doc gives excellent information while reminding listeners he can’t be specific as he’s not examined her.

I suspect she’s not only seen it but has responded under the name Mfoku two hours ago as of time of typing this. It’s a snippy, typically Chantal style response snarling at Sansa without addressing anything. Can’t c& p today but it’s near the beginning of the comments.

I’d say Chantal has it worse because it seems at least Salah can get out and see people, assuming he’s not persona non grata with his family and Al and Murad.
