So WikiLeaks have released a new batch of emails.

https://twitter.com/wikileaks/status/775812373269454848

So in it we learn that Obama literally sold Government positions like Ambassador, Chairman of the FCC and such for political donations, that Hillary's health has been terrible for a year and many more emails will be coming out really soon.

So far the funniest part of that leak is from Colin Powell, because

SHOTS FIRED

It's pretty hilarious that Clinton tried to stab Powell in the back claiming it was his idea to set up the private server, then wikileaks comes and uses Powell to leak some of the most damaging emails about her health yet

Leaked emails from former Secretary of State Colin Powell undermine a looming potential endorsement of the Democratic ticket for president. They also show that Powell, major Democratic donors, and even U.S. Senators supporting Clinton have been seriously concerned about whether she is physically fit enough to serve as president of the United States for more than a year.

Former New Jersey GOP governor Christine Todd Whitman, in one leaked email first reported by The Daily Caller, wrote to Powell asking why he had not yet endorsed Clinton for president.

“Have you endorsed her yet?” the late July email, subject line “Hillary,” from Whitman to Powell, read.

“Nope,” Powell responded. “By the way, if you have a WSJ today take a look at my piece on immigration. I can send it you missed. On Oped pages.”

“You’ll recall that in 2008 and 2012 I waited until early fall,” Powell also said, hinting a Clinton endorsement was potentially coming.

On Aug. 2, The Daily Caller also reported, Powell friend and adviser Harlan Ullman asked him: “when are you going to throw the knock out blow?”

“I try not to bother someone who is beating himself and the GOP up. And please, don’t start bugging me like every newsie and getter in town,” Powell answered. “If and when I do it will be known.”

The emails surfaced on the website DCLeaks.com.

Powell, who at one time served as GOP President George W. Bush’s Secretary of State, infuriated Republicans when in the 2008 election he endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. Obama went on to win, and many Republicans considered Powell a traitor for his actions.

Powell’s leftist views and ties to Democrats—and abandonment of the GOP—is no longer shocking, so that’s why when he called GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump a “national disgrace” it hardly stunned readers.

“Former Secretary of State Colin Powell, a retired four-star general who served under three Republican presidents, slammed GOP nominee Donald Trump as a ‘a national disgrace’ and an ‘international pariah,’ according to his personal emails seen by BuzzFeed News,” BuzzFeed wrote in a piece hyped by their fellow progressives at The Huffington Post.

Powell said in the email to Emily Miller—a former staffer for Powell at the State Department, now a television journalist—that Trump “is in the process of destroying himself” so there was “no need for Dems to attack him.”

In the pre-Republican National Convention email—when speculation was mounting that Republicans would steal the nomination from Trump on the floor with delegate games, something they ultimately did not do—Powell added that House Speaker Paul Ryan “is calibrating his position again.”

In another email to Miller, on Aug. 21, Powell blasted so-called “birthers”—people who believe that President Obama was not born in the Untied States. Trump has gotten a reputation for having furthered the theories by pressing the president for answers on them back in 2011, but it was the 2008 campaign of Hillary Clinton—against Obama, a race she lost—that drove such questions about the president into the mainstream.

“Yup, the whole birther movement was racist,” Powell wrote in the email. “That’s what the 99% believe. When Trump couldn’t keep that up he said he also wanted to see if the certificate noted that he was a Muslim.”

Perhaps the most important email discovery, however, were March 2015 emails between Powell and major Democratic Party donor Jeffrey Leeds—in which the two discussed how Hillary Clinton’s failing health concerned several senior Democrats, including a U.S. Senator.

In the email chain about Clinton’s health, and the stories that were brewing in the media, Powell wrote to Leeds on March 14, 2015—more than a year ago—that “I think there is something to it.”

“On HD tv she doesn’t look good,” Powell wrote. “She is working herself to death. After speaking at the UN and doing the crummy press conference she flew to SF to go do a paid gig for EBay and then went to Marc’s house to get ready for a money dinner for the Clinton Foundation. I was in Marc’s second house behind it and ducked her so we didn’t turn loose another email story by being seen together. She then flew back east the next morning. She will turn 70 her first year in office.”

Leeds replied moments later by revealing that Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), a sitting U.S. Senator, had concerns for Hillary Clinton’s health.

“Sheldon Whitehouse, who is a huge Clinton supporter, said they were both giving speeches at the same event a few months back and she could barely climb the podium steps,” Leeds replied.

I think he wrote a couple of good songs and "Wings" was a decent British-American rock band.
I have The Road on my tablet. I've only just started, but what I've seen is indeed very good.

@Internet War Criminal I know this is off topic, but do you have any solid proof that communists infiltrated america? Because as far as I'm aware the country remains a market democracy.
There was extensive spying in many areas of the US. Even my own hometown was loaded with Soviet spies and sympathisers, and we were so secret our own President didn't even know we existed until 1945.

But there's a difference between being a sympathiser and being a spy. The Rosenbergs traded nuclear secrets to an evil empire. Comedians who make fun of right-wingers, even screenwriters who were open communists, commited no crime but speaking that which those in power didn't want to hear.

I hold the same true for all, including fascists. Father Coughlin was a deplorable goose-stepper, and it was just as wrong for the donkeys to kick him off the air as it was for the elephants to lock up the Hollywood Ten.

So you'd rather not expose the dodgy things the Government is secretly doing to its citizens, in case it opens up security vulnerabilities?
That's exactly what I'm saying. Gold star for you.

No, here's the thing: government officials are corrupt. Fucking anyone can be corrupt. That's like saying water is wet.

Putting vulnerabilities out in the open will only strengthen perceived enemies.

There's a time and a place for opaqueness.

People don't need to know the names and addresses of every spook we have sitting around in China just because "muh transparency".

But when a presidential candidate--the one half the country believes you're a racist bigot for not supporting--is brazenly cheating and lying her way to the oval office then the people have every right to know.

Trump hasn't made his tax records available to the public.

He also reportedly sexually assaulted one of his past wives, then paid her a ton to shut up about it.

And he also employed illegal immigrant women for a time, which is in itself illegal.

But yknow, I'm just posting my opposing opinions on a website that uses Fox News as a credible source, when it's funded out the asshole by the Republican Party.

The thing is though we know all that stuff. Because all the media does is communicate all the awful, shitty things Trump has done both before and after seeking office. We know exactly how many times he used the word "nigger" in 1983 because CNN makes its interns comb through every thing the man has ever said. Every other news about the election is "Trump Says X Bad Thing Today".

But Clinton's shit treatment of Secret Service agents? The massive racketeering scam she and Bill pull through their bogus charity? That the FBI straight ups said Hillary was totally negligent with her confidential data but still said "lol nah not her fault she'll be a great President"? When she and her cronies hung the guys at Benghazi out to dry and then punished a fucking Youtuber for it because she and Barry didn't want to admit Libya was a total disaster? You'll barely hear about any of it.

None of the people McCarthy himself went after were spying for the Soviets. Even actual communists like Lattimore that he accused weren't actually spying for the Kremlin.

The ones who were actually spies? None of them were caught because of anything having to do with McCarthy. Coplon was busted by the FBI. The Rosenbergs were just corpses McCarthy piggybacked after all the actual work to bust them had been done. Alger Hiss was brought down by Whittaker Chambers, an ex-communist and man of actual principles who McCarthy wasn't fot to wipe the boots of. McCarthy even accused men who'd been anti-Stalinist longer than he himself had of being communist spies when said man was actively trying to help the cause.

Fuck that fat drunken pig in his liver.

He was right about the communist infiltration and his target were the wrong ones

Stop knee jerkily trying to autistically contradict everything I say and you'll realize nothing you said disproves what I said

Except you'll hear about it on Fox News, breitbart, etc.

I agree that it's awful what Hillary has been doing. But I don't agree with opening security risks for the sake of showing how corrupt a politician is.

Problem is though is that's like what, one outlet actually reporting about the other side?

And every time Fox or breitbart talks about the shady things the Clintons have done, the response from every other media outlet is "Lol you're all just a bunch of lying racist morons, stop listening to Fox".

Quit harping about "muh security risks". That's classic police state logic.

9/11 and Benghazi happened because the government was too paranoid with its intel.

It's not police state logic, though. It's risk management. It's something you learn in infosec.

Are you seriously being a 9/11 truther? :story:

No, it's basic "bin Laden was on our radar for years and we know he's planning something but nah it's k" incompetence. The FBI and CIA both had solid intel on al-Qaeda but just kind of sat on it because of red tape and politics.

Same thing with Benghazi. Clinton and Obama knew Libya was a time bomb but did nothing because it was Barry's election year and the media was still gushing over how it was Obama's "Cuban Missile Crisis".

Edit: I should also like to add the reason the Founding Fathers were so interested in preserving the rights of the press--to the point of making the guarantee journalists can't be criminalized the first fucking amendment to the Constitution--because they believed an objective, professional media was critical to preserving freedom. If the government was kept in check by a keen-eyed journalistic institution, then by necessity it will be shrewder and more professional.

It's a shame that faith in journalism is so wasted now. The media will stand lock-step behind anyone with a "D" by their name and insist that means they have integrity.

So what?

That's the kind of retarded defence John Allen Muhammad would've used after his capture, and he could've at least had the decency to shoot Jesse Helms.

Actual Americans heroes like Bayard Rustin and James Wechsler didn't go after people whose crimes were nothing above the expression of unpopular political opinions. Nothing justifies attacks on others for thoughtcrime, and those who do nothing but such are never anyones allies bit themselves.

Fuck McCarthy.

You mean Fox News, the media outlet you just sneeringly dismissed as being "funded out the asshole by the Republican party"?

So which is it? Are they a meaningless propaganda machine, or are they apparently responsible for a free press continuing to exist by being the only ones reporting on the corruption of one of the major party candidates? I mean, there's plenty of people that feel both ways, but seems like you could at least pick one.
