Anyone else annoyed/tired of the “short king” response
Just commented on a post relating to height dysphoria, I’m not tall for a man either (5’7) and I get so tired of the “we Stan a short king” sentiments.
I know it’s meant to be uplifting or whatever but you’re just reminding me of the fact I am a height I can’t change unless I come up with 60k and go to turkey.
That and the constant jokes from “body positive” women about men’s height who also claim to be ally’s not putting 2 and 2 together that if you support trans guys you’re making fun of short men can be making people in that demographic feel extra dysphoric because they’ll be saying someone my height equates to a child (saw this on a stupid meme page from my city the other day) when there’s guys shorter than me and if I said something about a woman as a joke even if it was something that could be changed easily I’d be pitchforked.
Sorry just a lot of built up anger. I’m tired of spending money on my body to not hate it and be “acceptable” enough to date only to add on to that sum when it’s not enough.

Take a look at most photos of couples - the man stands tall, the women tilts her head and lets him wrap his arms around her. That's how they're presenting. He's still the man in the relationship, even though he has long pink hair and torn jeans.
