I know what you're saying but within 20 or so feet unless you train fast draws (and often even then) a Kabar or fixed bladed knife is lethal and as dangerous as a gun.
In Lt Col Grossmans book On Killing, which was and I think still is required reading for FBI and Officer Training they teach LEO and military that inside a certain distance a knife is a more serious threat than a holstered gun, in training they'll use fake knives with ink along the cutting edge and then tell someone to try to defend and normally when the attacker is too close the guy with the knife can seriously fuck up the target before they can get their weapon free and up.
If you train beeper training and can get a triple tap off from the draw in 1.8 seconds you might be OK, but still.
This guy might be OK. He can do it in .93.
Thats at 6 feet though. If he had 20 he'd be fine. Most of us can't shoot like that.
Don't underestimate a determined attacker with a fixed blade.
Obviously this is assuming the attacker is fit, determined, and set on doing serious harm, not just some punk kid waving a stolen kitchen knife to try and scare the "bluds" or whatever the fuck UK niggers call each other, and that the target isn't already pointing a Sig at their face.
Someone competent set on using a knife won't pull it out and wave it around, the first time their target knows there a blade it's likely already been stuck in them.
Knives scare me just as much as guns in some circumstances tbh.
