Honest to God advice for anyone who wants to dress a certain way and express themselves regardless of whether its cringe or not.... The anxiety goes away as long as what you are doing isnt socially immoral! I never had to contend with arguments with family members around Thanksgiving, as everybody in my extended family becomes very chill and low key when we were all together on Thanksgiving in the past, even if opinions on things differed wildy...it was just never brought up.

However, in years past, around the late-1990's, to around the 2010's...it became increasingly popular for the woke malcontents in popular culture to shame people for celebrating Thanksgiving and to call for the holiday's cancelation because it is apparently a "celebration of native American genocide" and "colonialism".

The woke crowd still gets triggered by Thanksgiving from time to time, but you do not hear from them around this tine of year as much as you did a decade or so ago.

I think the only people who were calling for the cancellation of Thanksgiving were lonely online losers that never get invited to the family holiday parties. The native Americans probably don't love Thanksgiving either, but I think they have bigger issues then Thanksgiving. I don't believe that these people honestly believe that people still celebrate Thanksgiving because it's about how the white settlers and the native Americans became "besties". Thanksgiving is just an excuse to have the day off of work, eat a nice meal and spend time with your loved ones. They hate that they're left out and want everyone else to be just as miserable as they are. They're in the same category of people who try to cancel Halloween because it's Satanic. Ignore the fun Nazis and eat some turkey.

Regardless, I don't care if the holiday stories are woke or not as long as they're entertaining. Give me conspiracy Dad and how the local supermarket is conspiring to make the aisles narrower or Grandma who called her down syndrome Grandbaby cute, but odd!

I hate my beard so much!!

I failed/gave up on school because of depression and now i'm still living at home so I can study online school so I can get education. I'm 22 and I'm so lazy and depressed I can't even shave and it makes me feel so fucking dysphoric everytime I touch my face and feel the hairy thickness of it, and to imagine myself from other's pov is just making me feel worse. I'm literally a 22 year old still live with his mother and father loser who looks 30 because he eats unhealthy stuff and can't take care of himself. I feel like a disgusting monster and freak. I can't even be nice to people because I'm scared to act too feminine so I'm always just a static monotone robot who don't ever show feelings. I have technically already come out to my family once (when I was around 16), but nothing happened. It was just awkward and I was too much of a coward to start buying female clothing and appear as female puplically so eventually I just gave up and none of us have mentioned it since which just makes everything even more weird and I feel weird and everything is shit. I have too much hair everywhere I hate it. Why was I born like this? Will I ever be who I am or will I forever be a coward and a loser forever?

This shit just makes me sad man. Every time I read something like this I just wanna fire off a dm to them that says "STOP BEING TRANS YOU ARE MAKING YOUR LIFE HARDER" but there's just no fuckin point. It's always the people in their early 20s that get to me the most. Theres something about wasting some of the best years of your life to be an inconvenience to yourself and everyone around you that just really depresses me. A lot of these problems could be fixed with some level of confidence, but if you're perceiving yourself as a "disgusting monster and freak" then there's just no hope.
Another thing I've noticed is that a lot of these people troon out when they're really young like 15-16. Your high school years are critical for developing social skills, and when these people decide to transition they recoil and become introverted and self loathing. I know this isn't necessarily the rule of course, but it's a fascinating little detail that got the ol noggin joggin.

It is basically a glorified fall harvest celebration that many cultures had and still do around the world. While setting a day aside to celebrate a "Day of Thanks" was something that the British often did when things were going well, it was originally very sporadic in nature. It did not become an annual holiday until President Lincoln wanted the citizenry to stop its collective sperg-out during the US Civil War and to have a nice dinner at home as a means of fostering national unity.

This very well could be the case, but I think a lot of these people are severely autistic/mentally ill, and a lot of parents just don't understand how to deal with that. Autistic people will always flock towards the Internet, and as long as trans people are as active as they are, transitioning is unfortunately a very viable option to gain a supportive network of friends. I really don't know whether some of these people legitimately feel like the opposite gender or are just trying to find a supportive group by any means necessary. I will always cite Null's story about Pad as an incredibly important point to discuss. Some people are just fucked from birth and can only feel comfy as the opposite sex, but there's absolutely no way that this many people feel the way Pad does. I'm sure jersh hates troons more now than he did when he did this stream, but I think that he does a great job of explaining how most people probably feel about trannies. It definitely helped me put some shit into perspective. It's a sad state of affairs truly, but I feel the tide is turning. Sorry for the soapbox.
