I'll never understand why Jack is such a miser when it comes to food but blows thousands of TamHam's money on smokers and other single-use appliances each year.
Because he's got it in his head that he can be 'the working mans' cooking channel, focusing on budget meals. This decision is definitely not influenced by the fact that budget meals tend to be greasy, fatty, salty measures servable in large quantities with shelf stable ingredients so you can make them at 3am on a tuesday because you woke up with a terrible pain in your chest that's obviously hunger. Because Jack thinks people watch to actually get cooking recipes and tips from him. In reality, anyone watching Jack for legitimate recipes probably died from it years ago.

Meanwhile, actual cheap cooking channels are gonna show you how to make two dozen different dollar dishes with cheap tools. Hell, watch the Hillbilly Kitchen, no shortage of super simple, super cheap, but filling recipes.

Why would you go to aldi and buy all name brand shit? You don't save money at aldi by buying brand name, you buy the generic shit. I'll be buying my turkey at kroger for $.49 a pound, it aint butterball, but its the same shit.

This whole Aldi vs Dollar Tree spending concept is just a ruse so that this swine can pig out and have multiple thanksgiving dinners weeks before thanksgiving since he can't wait.

That green bean casarole is going to cook into a solid lump. I've never ran into any recipes that entail just mixing the condensed soup and beans and thats it. At a bare minimum, some milk is added along with the condensed soup to add alittle moisture to the whole thing so its not a solid, sticky block when it comes out of the oven. Did he even season the mixture ? Not even some pepper?

Must this guy insist on having char-burnt skin on everything? That looks like a half-way decent turkey but then he ruined that shit by throwing it in the broiler for an hour. You can also tell that he pulled a classic Jack Scalfani move by trying to pick some of the burnt skin off but then just gave up. Lmao. If I had the misfortunate luck of having to spend time with this spread at Thanksgiving, I'd unironically would just munch on the Hawaiian rolls and the chocolate cake. The two things that the Scalfani family had nothing to do with. He must be getting insecure however because this is the second video he didn't do an actual review and he didn't show any cooking... on a 'cooking' channel. I can't wait for Rob to one-up this fat idiot by making a tastier meal with the same ingredients.

:thinking: Hmph....Tamham got herself an over-priced, small but cute Lego center piece for $50. Probably told Jack that he has to shop at Aldi's for his shitty Youtube videos job because she's the only one with a real one. He still almost spent as much as she did. Just get that generic turkey. It ain't a Butterball, Foster Farms or whatever the fuck but the goal was to spend the least amount of money as possible and he still seemed too fail. (Never shopped at Aldi's so I don't know the chain's turkey selection or anything for all that matters so I could be entirely wrong.) Furthermore, he says he doing more Thanksgiving videos so we have a few more weeks of content to look forward too so for that, thanks Jack.

That would require Jack to get up regularly to attend to the food, which he doesn't seem physically capable of. I'm convinced this is half of the reason for his smoker obsession - Put meat in, do absolutely fucking nothing for a while, get presumably delicious meats outs. This gives him more time to be wrong on Quora, or mad at facebook.
