Does the fact that they air it on the surface imply that the Bubba type were into even worse shit, by virtue of being closeted away, or just that Bubba had a more reasonable shameometer, as well as an actual life to live outside of fetish pursuits?

But when you think about how much further there is to go, than what the gross but open twitter fetishisists are up to, I fail to see how it could go further beyond without actually involving other, unwillingly parties in the paraphilias. Snatching up kids, etc.

I don't know. I genuinely don't know how people have enough hours in the day to devote to secret fetish inner lives that they get this far into.
I have actual productive hobbies I don't get enough time with.

I wonder if they believe a small, loud subsection of crazy people represent the full scope of the right, because that's how it seems to work on the left. Maybe its simply all they know. The inmates run their asylum, and so they assume the right does, too. It doesn't matter that much of the right would agree that those kind of fundies are crazy and not representative of their own views.
