Mercury has the highest school grades in Japan and aspires to be a doctor, iirc. I'd personally take the shrine or even the shop. At least I'd get to catnap under the counter once in a blue moon. I don't think Mercury knows how to sleep.
I think the troons see shy and good with computers and skip over the bit where Mercury is the most disciplined and possibly the hardest worker in the franchise.

As wierd as that seems, it would fit in with the idea that attraction to tranny's can be a quirky form of heterosexuality. The concept of Gynandromorphophilia (GAMP) is generally considered to be a heterosexual orientation but largely found in people who are themselves AGPs (autogynephiles, the trannies who get off on thinking they're a women, for those who didn't know.)

He constantly posts on social so he can "own the terfs". He claims to be a socialist and is a member of the Breakthrough Party.
