Has Patrick ever referenced good, thought provoking hard sci-fi before? Or classics of the genre? Never seen him reference Dune before, or authors like Asimov, Heinlein or Clarke. He generally only rarely talks about books he has read which is a bit strange for an AUTHOR.

All he seems to care about in the genre are TV and movies, and not even good ones, the most brainless consoomer slop I can imagine. This man is a fan of Disney's Star Wars.

The nerds should have gatekept their hobbies way better, now we have abject retards like Fatty Tomlinson, who doesn't even understand high-school science writing sci-fi.

He really should have chosen fantasy, any retard can write in that genre because you literally can make everything up.

If you're doing things with hot peppers you can mace yourself by accident. That said as someone who has roasted habanero over open flames and in the oven and has then made various sauces and dishes with them I will confidently state that that's not happening with those. Would not advise roasting the really hot ones though, at least not indoors, you want that as well ventilated as possible and even then it's iffy.

That said a volunteer has been dispatched to try Fat Rick's food and this was his reaction as soon as he set foot in his house. According to reports Rick was just making toast.

it's still very weird to me how he posts very spiritual things and acts like he recognizes God despite being a professed Atheist. he blasphemes regularly. he does this in his first book, too, and presumably in the rest i haven't gotten to readviewing yet (but believe me, the day is coming once life settles down). i'm sure it's all an act for him but, idk. it just strikes me as so odd. and when i say "very spiritual things", he will post mentions of God (but never Jesus, which arguably suggests a particular Catholic leaning) and maybe he said something about the Holy Spirit, once or twice, and he will refer to God appropriately (capitalizing He/Him), but, yeah.

i often wonder how he would react if you told him what Atheism is. Atheism is the belief that there's no God. not believing in God is not Atheism - it's unbelief. Atheism is as much an act of theism, in that the existence or nonexistence of God is unknowable to us here on this planet.

I would bet money that the extent of his Dune knowledge consists of pop culture osmosis combined with whatever he thinks sounds cool on wiki quotes when he remembers Dune exists.

Also, the only people who never reread books are people who hate reading; an amazing trait for an author to have, let alone admit to. The babe of the avid reader’s backlog is rereading.

Pat is making it blindingly obvious that he not only didn't comprehend the book's message, but has also never read Dune Messiah, wherein Herbert thoroughly dismantled the "white savior" trope, or Children of Dune and God Emperor of Dune, where he explored the lasting damage Paul and his children did to the Fremen and their culture.

Go back to furiously xeeting at stalker childs and leave the literary analysis to people who actually like to read, Ricky boy.
