patrick is the worst kind of creative type you can encounter, which is another reason i find him endlessly entertaining. his abnormal, repulsive behavior ensures he will never manage to achieve the faintest relevance; he's the village idiot in every writer demesne - and how could he not be? have you seen how fucking fat the guy is? only he can occupy so much space at once.

You see a lot of these people throw excuses out, Pat's used the stalkers as the reason he can't actually do anything - unfortunately when you see that he constantly replies/texts/etc to them it ruins the whole bit. I think that's where this "perfect victim" tweet came from, where he admits to ignoring the police advice:

He seems unable to finish anything - Tiny Tim, scripts, even when he was teling people to tweet to Tor about completing his two series he said the new books were "half done" which is not attractive to a publisher. Brian Keene is a normal liberal guy so I think this was rough for Pat, he can't pretend that it's evil Trump supporters who think he's a joke.

As the resident RimWorld autist who tried doing a Trans Unicorn Ranch run that I abandoned after several mod failures (but it let me end on a funny), no, that is not base to my knowledge. If it was it would apply to more machines, and I know I can pack that shit pretty tight.

Still, even if you're just making a mod, don't be a dick about it. You can be a bit crass (shout-out to Space Station 13 who found out cafeteria trays were teleporting organs from inside your body to outside and responded with "oh fuck"), but do not directly insult the customer. Fatrick endlessly insults the customer. Enjoy poverty.
 
Pat definitely strikes me as the type to barge into conversations other authors are having amongst each other at conventions and try to insert himself and his "troubles" into it, and make it the main focus of the conversation. The thing about leftists is that they'll never speak out against one of their own until they're deemed a "safe" target, but they will absolutely talk more internally to each other about their issues, so I'd imagine especially in the past few years, pattalking at cons has been seeing a rise.
 
What a story, if I didn't know this was a real person, I would think it's a character ran by a team. Designed by committee to make the most unlikeable person possible, social media ran by a team that needs to work on shifts to avoid burnout as they reply to every fan/stalker.
His fundamental is really that this a man who can't accept the way things are. He can't accept he is fat, but he also can't accept a plethora of things related to his "career", self, relations with others and above all else his role in putting himself where he is now.

It is a great testament to the strength of America that Patrick S. Tomlinson lives what seems to be a good life. A house, a car, a motorcycle, spare income to spend his days in bars. I now think of a smug man with a finger pointed to his forehead when people tell me how they suffer under catastrophic socio-economic conditions in America.

Enjoy prison.

This had me giggling for a good 5 minutes straight. It’s beautiful poetry and wonderfully poetic that his best writing comes when he’s not trying.

If a team of writers came up with Fat Rick and presented it to their editors, he would get rejected because he's too ridiculous. A guy who's so obsessed with social media that he has to reply to every one of his trolls? Believable. A guy who copies and pastes the same threats of imprisonment (which he has done thousands of times) and sends them to his own toilet? That would be too juvenile for a high school stoner comedy and too insane for a movie about mental illness.

His very existence defies all logic. It's like he took the phrase "Don't let the idiots win" and modeled his entire psyche around it. No matter what, he always has to get the last word in on any argument. Even when it gets to the point that his peers are telling him to put the phone down and enjoy life outside of the Internet for a few minutes, he hast to push them away. It's ironic that his life has become the very prison he tells people to enjoy and he has nobody to blame but himself.

And honestly, I don't think any team of writers could write something like that.
 
Who are we meant to believe gave the money? Does he want us to think he has an uber weathly patron who can front $33K with no questions asked? This is just so dimwitted.

I think maybe there is a god and said god has a cruel sense of humor.

In this case, Fatrick is a modern Faust, being punished in a curious personal hell in which he is a terrible writer and doomed to encourage his tormentors.
He actually finds Norm Macdonald hilarious, but every time he tries to express joy in Norm, he cannot help but claim he never finds him funny.

Where Faust ruins the life of Gretchen by impregnating her with his illegitimate child, Adrienne saved herself by taking Fatrick’s legitimate child whom he later rejects.

Unable to be with a decent woman, he is tricked into a being a lesbian’s beard with the cruelty of fate being that he is compelled to double down on his “love” for her.

He attempted to do a deal with the SFWA, as being an assortment of pedos and perverts, they are certainly devilish enough to sell a soul too.

However, a further irony is that Fatrick’s soul is of no value.

He tries to make amends by feeding poor black children, but through frequent unexplained accidents they always end up in his pepperoni grinder.
