Her work in Scream Queens make me think she could do this.
Unfortunately her recent social media postings make me think she'll be unwilling to drop kick a mascot character. Which is very needed for this role.
she's going to scream that chopper should be a tranny like her adopted kid she sold to hollywood

Now we know why Wano is garbage. Oda has no wranglers anymore, just yes-men.

Editor cries that a creator has full control over his own creation. Based Oda for climbing the ranks to stick it to such tyranny.

It wasn't even editor yanking Toriyama's chain back in the day, it was former editor, aka someone no longer working on the manga. Toriyama's just a pushover.

No. Being surounded by yes men is always BAD and it shows. One Piece's quality has declined. The art and story telling has gotten worse. Wano was dogshit. Kaido is a garbage villain. Luffy's new toon force has issues too. And it's very sad because it all could have been awesome and well thought out.

OP sales are on a steady decline since the time skip. There is a reason for that.

I don't think that Oda is in as full control as we think, At least at the time. If I recall, during Wano somebody higher up wanted chapter 1000 to have something big in it and Oda had to rejigger Wano mid-arc to fit that. I think that is one reason why Yamato was introduced later than intended as well.

I mean I agree Wano was not even 10% as good as the years long hype that was built up. But 100000% disagree and it’s a huge fucking “your opinion” that the story has declined. I’ve been enjoying the fuck out of most everything since Luffy beat Kaido. Genuinely love Egghead and all the stuff that’s been building up around it. Also I’d love to see your stats for declining sales especially recently, because if it’s not actual information that’s from a trustworthy source and it’s just another gay twitter post I don’t believe you.

Edit: Also it’s really not the big own you think it is using anyone whose worked on Dragonball as a weapon against Odas writing bud.

I agree Wano's pacing was absolutely odd, but that might've been due to the schedule and that the arc took years to come to its climax. It's possible that Oda may have rushed it, or that he was asked to add things that slowed it down, which would explain why the anime did what it does best.

I wasn't here for when Skypeia was in the works, I just know that it was a hated arc for a long time because of how slow and filler-ish it felt in real time. Wano was clearly not filler in nature (despite how much of a difference there is between Wano and Onigashima itself), however, I can't deny it felt slow at times. I think it'll flow a lot better on re-read, and that it doesn't take away from the rules of the world, some fans might've confirmed this.

In terms of ranking favorite arcs, I don't know if it'll personally be in my top five favs once all's said in done, but for sure it has one of my favorite One Piece moments. The wait was absolutely worth it.

That shit happened about 20 chapters before, which is why Luffy spends that time trying to get to the roof, and why panel time was spent focusing on Gifter designs.

I just re-read the series and honestly wano wasn't that bad. The arc just felt like shit when it was current because there's like 50 fucking named characters with their own fights and the fights took like forever when kt was current. I was much more invested this time around because I actually remembered how fucking shit it was to live in wano.

It definitely has stupid choices like how kaidos backstory is like two pages, but I think we are going to get more when oda decides to show rocks pirates flashback. Wano isn't a top ten best arcs but its the better ones in the second half of the series.

It ran into the exact same issues weekly that Dressrosa did for pretty much the exact same reasons. The immediate gratification readers need to, however, keep in mind that the series will exist in its finished state a hell of a lot longer than it does weekly.

Wano's finale isn't that much different from Marineford in that respect, but Marineford was better executed because there were fewer main characters, clearer battlefield lines, and fewer time skips.

Dressrosa is good up until the birdcage comes down. Then it gets really fucking tedious.

Just watched the first couple episodes of the netflix show. Better than I'd expect from a netflix live action anime,
the shells town riceball scene is robbed of impact by placing it before Zoro's imprisonment, dwelling on coby and helmeppo/introducing garp this early on feels a bit weird, and they cut the chouchou vs. richie fight from orange town, which is unforgivable. The first big demonstration of Luffy's values surrounding treasure and friendship, cut and replaced with a simple unimpressive hero moment in releasing the villagers after buggy is defeated. He doesn't even come up with a Luffy-like excuse when they ask if they're his prisoners now, like "No way, I don't wanna share my meat," or "You guys won't all fit on our boat," just "I'm a different kind of pirate. :-) well anyway goodbye"
