I read through the steak thread on OnA, and put a top hat on me, because I'm Mad at the Internet. The waiter should have stabbed him for ordering a filet mignon well done. Personally, the filet mignon is an overrated cut that people like pat flock to because it's expensive and has a fancy sounding name, I'd take a ribeye instead almost any day, but the one thing you can't beat a filet mignon on is tenderness. I've cooked filets so tender that I accidentally was cutting them with the wrong side of the knife and didn't even realize for a few moments, because it glided right through. May a coroner pronounce pat dead even though he's alive, because they couldn't get a pulse or heartbeat through the corpulent rolls of fat, and have him be cremated alive so that he might feel just an ounce of what he inflicted upon that steak.
