I agree with most of what you say, but it isn't really fair to compare the Washington Post with the New York Times. The Times had a man literally working for Stalin's propaganda arm, being instrumental in covering up a genocide in Ukraine, and got a Pulitzer for it that the Times refuses to return to this day. Bad as the Post's reputation is, they never blatantly stumped for Stalin and his Left fascist empire.

The obvious. The article is already written, but they have to give the target a chance to one sentence at the very end or say "Couldn't be reachedfor /opted not to give comment" so they can pretend they are fair and balanced.

Exactly. It’s Kiwi Farms. There is no way to come back from whatever reputation it already has and I promise you, the last person to disseminate truth about us will be a journalist. They are merchants of deceit.

Best thing you can do is stick two fingers up, tell ‘em to jog the fuck on and go back to playing Baldur’s Gate III.
