The emotional support shark troon was u/stupidstories on reddit who went on to become a detransitioner. I think that he genuinely liked sharks and the shark he was shown with was some random shark plushie, not the blahaj.

Part of the reason the blahaj is popular with troons is that it's a plushie that they can get no matter where they live, barely need to interact with anyone to get, and don't need to go to a toy store to pick up (don't get me wrong, they would be thrilled to creep around a toy store, but they are also scared to do it). I've also seen some stuff about it being in the trans colors, but that's a real stretch. Completely different shade of blue and barely any pink... that's not anyone's motivation for getting it.

I can't get over the fact Chris brought that shark plushie. No real woman would bring something so pointless and impractical as a novelty pillow on a camping/survival event. Not just because it takes up space for actual useful items, but also because real women wouldn't want to bring something that would make them seem so childish.

Even if a grown woman has a doll (some women do keep their childhood dolls for sentimental reasons), those women keep the dolls at home on a shelf or on their bed. They wouldn't show it off to other adults. Besides, if it's something "special" it makes even less sense to bring it somewhere it could get damaged or lost.

I shouldn't expect any less from virtue sending coomers though. Chris isn't thinking like a woman, he's playing out his fetish and forcing other people to go along with it. .
