His fucking shooting practise is side splittingThat's one of the things that always got me about him. I do a little skeet shooting and you barely even need the sights to blow up a clay pigeon. Honestly I do better when I just run off instinct, just point and shoot without thinking about it too much. Couldn't give you a reason as to why that works but it does.
Having said that ol' Randy couldn't do either. Just a spectacular fuckup which is all he'll be remembered as.
I do 3 Gun and I love showing it to people, I don't tell them who he is unless they recognize him because I don't want to look like I'm laughing at a Spree killer (even though I agree with Jimbo, they should be mocked, less people would want to be the Columbine faggots if they were the laughing stock they should be) I just ask if they have any pointers for this guy and play the vid.
Also the reason instinctive shooting works better is muscle memory.
You repeat the action so much that your muscles just know where to go, thats what gets your times down to competitive levels, you don't have time to consciously locate and aim down the sights at every target, but once you put in the hours, your muscle memory knows where you are, knows how your gun handles, and knows where the target is, you let instinct take over and do its thing and consciously you are clocking and tracking the next target down the line.
It has to be instinctive.
Stopping and thinking about it slows you down.
Stephen King is a woke joke but I wonder if he talked to real shooters writing the Gunslinger because his Gunslingers Mantra is poetically accurate
I do not aim with my hand...
I aim with my eye
I do not shoot with my hand...
I shoot with my mind
I do not kill with my gun...
I kill with my heart
Once you know your firearms and how they respond, and once you've got the hours in, you just hear the beep and it's like blinking, or breathing, it's an automatic response, same way as when you're driving you don't consciously think about all the little things you have to do, you just do it.
