Honestly, I'm not surprised by anything in those emails. Bernie said the DNC leadership was part of the problem, and they hated him for saying so. Their preferred candidate was part of the party longer and didn't say they were garbage. (I believe they are garbage, but that's besides the point).

Additionally, I'm amused everyone forgot about PUMA -the people that actually started the "Obama is a durka durka/ineligible for office" shit voted for Hillary in the primaries. The dreaded "Bernie Bros" will calm down.

The RNC had Christie's "mock trial" of Clinton. The DNC had speakers going after Trump. That's what conventions are supposed to do: Talk their nominee up whilst running down the other party's candidate.

That's why Bloomberg's speech was so effective. As an Independent, he was able to address the voting public from outside a partisan box.

Pointing out inadequacies in your opponent is what politics is. That's what the RNC did with the constant drone of Benghazi, even though House Republicans voted to cut the State Department's funding for diplomatic security in 2011 and 2012. Not to mention that the House Benghazi Committee's final report indicated that, whilst the government had certainly made mistakes throughout the attack, there was no new evidence indicating that Clinton had done anything specifically wrong. But that didn't stop the RNC from pushing its narrative that she's the definition of evil incarnate who should be locked up.

She's a professional politician who says one thing and does another, but at least Clinton has long-term experience in politics and has decades of experience on the international stage. Trump is so thin-skinned that he had to infer that he had a big dick in a GOP debate because someone mentioned his small hands. If he's elected, Putin will eat him alive.

But in the end, I have no dog in this fight. I'm not an American. I don't get to vote. But unfortunately, I - and everyone else outside of the US - will have to live with the consequences of the American voters' choice. Knowing that Trump has said NATO members cannot depend on the US to honor the terms of its commitment under the treaty is disturbing to me, never mind his positions on torture and collateral casualties.

One last point, then I'm out: The Dems may have ripped into Trump tonight, but at least none of Clinton's advisers have publicly called for Trump to be shot. There's a long way to go before they stop to that level.

Can I have an article about that? Because all I find seems to stem to a Breibart article saying Gulianni claimed "four high ranking police officers," two of them he knows personally said so. I'm not saying ir can't be true but he has been corrected saying pretty serious information like this before. Given that Philly has a bad history with plainclothes officers and the police "infiltrating" peacful political organizations, and the Fraternal Order of Police officers are giving our police Chief hell for speaking at the Convention, and he isn't what I would call hyper political, seeing as how his first concern when Beyonce came to Pittsburgh was to see if we had enough on duty officers for the concert.
