Yeah, but there are some wacky neural pathways being formed in some idiot's head right now, and his mommy, daddy, teacher, boss, and everyone else he interacts with are refusing to say "NO" and so now these pathways are becoming reinforced past what anyone can do anything about.
People are born with certain susceptibility and tendencies to form certain patterns of behavior and thinking. Some so severe no therapy can do anything about it sure. But I really think a lot of the insanity we see now is allowed or encouraged.

I KNOW its encouraged. I worked at a spot for mental cases for lack of a better term... teenagers right? and ya its definitely encouraged instead of corrected

I think it's a good mix of proclivity towards a particular behavioral pattern with the addition of external factors. You don't need to live in abject poverty to be sad much like you don't need to be wealthy to be happy.

I think that things like community, purpose, social ties, family and a spiritual life are much more important for psychological well-being than merely material things or circumstances.

And that’s often what we lack in first world countries.

And sure, getting coddled has something to do with that as well.

Men commit suicide more than women almost everywhere in the world. It's an unjustified leap of logic to jump to the claim that men thus have worse mental health than women. The more direct measures of mental well-being in the population tend to find women/girls faring worse than their male counterparts, which makes sense as women are naturally more neurotic.

You made a very important point there, community cohesion and strong family bonds are what keeps society stable, that whole "it takes a village to raise a child" thing, and community cohesion and the family unit are the two things that have been most actively targeted and eroded by ideological fanatics, and it's the first thing that the Cult tries to break when they get a new recruit in their grasp "Your family don't understand you" "Well it sounds like they don't respect you. Your transition is important, you should cut them out of your life, you don't need them" "Your parents sound transphobic" all that shit we have seen so many examples of.

They do this because they know people with the stability close family and community ties bring are much less susceptible to both their indoctrination and to the loneliness and isolation that leads them to degenerate online hugboxes in the first place.
They convince naive and impressionable, often autistic people that their families obvious concern and reticence when their family member starts to show signs of Gender Goblin bullshit is "transphobic" and a product of hate instead of the reality, which is that no responsible parent wants their child ruining themselves for the sake of people who will abandon them at the first sign of doubt or regret.

If we gonna fix this shit we need to start putting more emphasis on family and community bonds.
Thats why I prefer small town living.
Urban living is too impersonal, with small towns you actually know your neighbors and people look out for each other.
Some people living in these big pozzed metropolis's I doubt even know the people living in the same building.

Another thing that is overlooked is that people compare their success/failure in life and personal prestige that stems from it based on the norms of their immidiate surroundings and not based on some sort of global average.

If you're attending an Ivy League college then you're almost certainly smarter than 95% of the worlds population simply by being admitted (ignoring affirmative action/corruption),yet people who fail classes there get depressed because they fail to live up to the local expectations that exist there,whereas someone who lives in some obscure village in the Sahel region can boast about being the smartest guy in town since he knows how to read while everyone else in the village is illiterate.
