Just learned that last year Karl interviewed Robert Evans, a commie pro-antifa "journalist" who was deeply involved in the 2020 Portland unrest:

Haven't watched the whole thing and I probably won't, but the bit where Karl says "How do we get more progressives involved in guns? And I say 'progressives' in quotes" sticks out. Again, this interview was conducted in 2022, well after Robert Evans showed his violent anarchist colors to the world. Yet another red flag I would've seen at the time if I hadn't already unsubbed from InRange.

Oooo, yeah I hadn't realized at the time who Robert Evans was when he interviewed him, but once I realized who that was, oh fuck me that's a violent commie who doesn't need any more encouragement than twitter already gives him, and here's dumbfuck Karl giving him the time of day.
Any watching ceased that instant, though in fairness I'd largely drifted into 9HR and less spergy content creators by then.
For reference, let us just remember, especially in the context of whining that Karl and his people do, that what happened in Portland in 2020 for MONTHS dwarfs anything that happened during Jan 6th. Nightly violent sieges of either state or federal property, with rioters breaking down barricades with the express purpose of gaining entry to set fire to the property. By all rights most of the people involved should have been dead for putting the lives of people in the building in grave danger for specific actions taken during those sieges, sane rules of engagement would have allowed lethal force in response for a silly amount of things that happened, yet the kid gloves were on.
To be clear not all nights were like that, but let's call it easily 40 mostly pretty close together nights that each individually eclipsed any level of violence or property destruction Jan 6th wrought, and at least 10 nights which by any sane rules of engagement would have seen a pile of dead commies outside of certain buildings, just in Portland. Not including other cities.

Whether he believed it or not, Evans promoted the idea that 'Earl' was real, that a rightwing militia really was preparing to storm the tranch.
Karl retweeted the Tranch occasionally, I thought for a while there would be a crossover, but I have a suspicion the reason it didn't happen was that Karl didn't like the way they were handling weapons on their social media.

My memory is a bit fuzzy and I can't seem to find it but I swear the first video with Ian and Karl is at this indoor shooting range with VHS quality video shooting some unobtanium Nazi gun. If I don't remember wrong that might even predate InRangeTV. I already looked through the VG 1-5 video, so maybe StG, FG42 or a different VG Video. There is also a chance the video got taken down by Youtube being gay.
