Perfectly playable if you have the hands for it.
Not with THOSE buttons & D-Pad position. You're better off playing fighting games on a New3DS instead, at least that rectangle by Nintendo feels somewhat like an actual controller.

Although not like it matters, doesn't the deck have a docking station with USB ports? Almost everyone will just use their fightsticks instead.

Agree to disagree and all that. I got a few round wins during an unranked set but started cramping.

Nothing could be less comfortable than the Switch for fighting games, so I'm sure Steam Deck will be doable for them.

Solves that problem pretty quickly

My only gripe is that it's designed like the XBOX controller where the D-Pad is on the bottom.

Since Steam Deck is portable and so is Switch, and 3DS was mentioned, I figured we were talking about the ergonomics of portable devices.

That controller is decent though if you're playing docked, yeah, but I only have a Switch Lite anyway.

With the beta being over, I'm just going to say that my previous points didn't change. I really enjoyed playing. The netcode is solid, with only the occasional disconnect.

Still won't pay full price though.

Anyone ever notice how Justin Wong is a playable character in Art of Fighting 3?

I used to be a Jin weeb as a kid, like most people were when Tekken 3 came out. But Kazuya is way more interesting. Jin is purely carried by his character design when otherwise he's a block of wood.
And by the fact that Jin is essentially the anime protagonist in a video game you'd see in a Linkin' Park AMV. I couldn't get used to his new moveset in Tekken 4 hence why I went back to Chadzuya.

SNK currently has a beta going to test the rollback for Samurai Shodown and OH MY GOD is it terrible. This is not something you go public with after how much of a disaster the game's release was.

Bit late to be asking, but how's Soulcaliber 6? Was thinking about picking the game up, was wanting to ask for some opinions on it; not much of a fighting game player myself, thought it might be a good place to hop in.
