Neither of them has anything to lose, Bernie for obvious reasons, but Trump because his own mindless worshippers wouldn't turn on him even if Bernie trounced him. He could take a shit on the floor, smear it on himself and eat it and they'd think he won.

They'll both spend the debate attacking Clinton and big banks. It gets both of them attention, and it might be relatively entertaining television. I think it would be a good move for either of them. (Sanders still can't win the Democratic nomination, of course, but I love watching him blow up the Democratic Party.)

It will be just like the law against local Bahamians gambling in Nassau and Freeport, but Bahamians can easily do it anyway if you have an American Passport.

I can just picture it now, me in the huge crowd in DC watching the inauguration on January 20th 2017, UFO's hovering around the Washington Monument witnessing America become Great Again, and Trump, after saying "Obama, YOU'RE FIRED!" just uses his laser eyes on me and goes.

And then I dunno. Maybe I'm supposed to be offended or something. Except like Trump, I don't believe in Political Correctness either.

No concrete sources except Time's "insiders" - I'd wait until Trump himself or anyone from his campaign say something about it.
 
Trump himself has just stated at his press conference in North Dakota that he'll debate Bernie if he collects 10-15 millions for charity. He said he had received calls from several television networks already.

EDIT: he also severely triggered a journalist by calling Elizabeth Warren 'Pocahontas'.

I honestly can't imagine a Sanders v. Trump debate not happening seeing as both Trump and Sanders have literally nothing to lose and so much to gain.

Sander's gets to peddle his message once again and remain in the spotlight, cause his supporters to have another mass epileptic fit, gets people and by extension Hillary talking about Wall Street, income inequality, and all that other stuff we've had forcefully branded into our brains by now.

And obviously Trump gets to do Trump things, take the media focus away from Hillary completely (which is honestly kind of crazy when you think about it) and basically do whatever the hell he wants since it's not a "real" debate anyways.

Of course I could just be wishful thinking since this sounds like the funniest possible shit.
