She undercuts the message of the video with this breadtube tangent. The message being: All people have the capacity for great evil and great good. We should not other the people who do evil becuase we can be exactly like them. There is no moral grey.
But then she goes off on a tangent calling breadtube “creatures” and “its” effectively making them an other she could never be like.
This dehumanization of people she doesn’t like is getting a bit extreme and sad. Yes Lily we know beards overstimulate you and the thought of looking at one triggers your dysphoria of your own dark beard shadow, but that’s not everyone else’s problem. People talk about 'the Jews ran the banks in Weimar Germany' not because it's an excuse but because it explains how the Jews could be dehumanized to the point that the common German citizen was complicit if not an active accessory to the escalating violence against them during the Nazi regime. They were dehumanized and othered over the course of several years before the concentration camps were implemented, a dehumanization by degrees that at first made it acceptable to discriminate, then to destroy their businesses, then to round them up and slaughter them (although the actual slaughter at the concentration camps wasn't common knowledge among the German populace, they just knew those damn dirty Jews had been removed from their beautiful German cities).

As a reminder, the scene she removed from TSR was Rey getting upset with Aliana for withholding information that her mother was the slave trafficker that left Rey abandoned on a desert planet because it would be 'too cruel' for Rey to have an understandable human reaction to her partner (who has already exhibited a tendency to keep secrets, like not telling Rey she was a Sith until somebody else outed her) kept a really traumatic secret.
I'm finding it interesting that she talks about 'fandom obsession' but then focuses on the actual media itself. It's not a takedown of the current storytelling trend that's going around actual production houses and discuss why it's a bad trend or whatever... it's somehow the fault of fans? She could be looking into, like, common fanfiction tropes or dissecting actual discourse but instead she looks at a show, pulls a conclusion out of her ass, and blames the audience for doing whatever she made up.

Lily will like this show up until the point it decides to either start having an overarching story, challenging the main character by putting them through hardship, or preaching values she doesn't share, like sometimes bad guys aren't bad guys and maybe Moon Girl shouldn't just kill all her enemies.

Very few people feel the need to comment to begin with, and when they do, they have this waiting for them. Why oh why don't people comment more.

It's almost like a silent admission that Lily has to generate all her own praise comments. I can't discern her motive, whether it's to make herself feel better, to trick others into thinking her work is more appreciated than it is, or just to try and encourage other people to speak up I can't say for certain. Though, I'm more partial to the latter. That she believes if others see her work being lauded with praise for how she handles black hair culture or whatever that others might want to join and say something about how they love TSR.

Ah, the natural evolution of the fanfiction author's "If I don't get ten reviews I'm not going to post the next chapter!" Now it "If you don't comment and provide support my MENTAL HEALTH will suffer and you ALSO won't get to see what I'm writing!"

Thing is, the authors that would use that tactic were almost universally young teenage girls. A petulant 13-year-old getting positive feedback from an audience and letting it go to their head is annoying but understandable. They're young, immature, and probably have never gotten this kind of positive attention (especially for a creative endeavor).
A thirty-year-old spewing how their OC is the coolest person in the universe and gets to fuck the hot female lead demanding that the audience praise their publicly posted sexual fantasies or else their mental health will suffer is something else entirely.
She also doesn't seem to realize that the reason she doesn't get the type of engagement she wants is because she's using Tumblr. I don't know if Madhouse actually has replies enabled (and Tumblr's reply system is really spotty anyway) but the main method of interaction is 'Favorite' and 'Reblog', with the latter being the only way to actually add a comment. Very few people who see a Madhouse post and just want to say "Oh, that's cute!" are going to reblog the entire comic and will instead just going to hit the little heart instead.
And you know what's really killing me about this?

Her last Madhouse post as 125 NOTES. The comic before that, the one where G finally hugs Mikaila? 275. She seems to average 50-100 notes on every post at least, which is massive for a poorly-drawn self-indulgent Pokemon comic being posted into a Tumblr void.
And TSR? Has 1318 comments on Ao3. That's comments, not just likes/kudos.
Both of these probably benefit from just being part of two massive fandoms that will almost inevitably bleed some attention to anybody who takes advantage of them, but that's still a lot of engagement. Yet somehow it's either not enough, or not the right kind. Much better writers have gotten much less attention and are just happy for the audience that they do have, but here's Lily, pissing and moaning about how it's never enough but also screaming at people for doing it wrong.
