Who is Karl Kasarda?
Karl Kasarda is a Youtuber who has also published republished videos on many sites like BitChute, Utreon, Vimeo, and even Pornhub, although the videos uploaded to the latter site were merely a protest against YouTube's censorship policies and nothing except normal InRangeTV content was ever published there. InRangeTV (henceforth also InRange and IRTV as shorthand) was started as paywalled content hosted on a now semi-defunct site called Full30.com hosted by Karl and Ian McCollum of Forgotten Weapons. Their first video was a test of sawbacked bayonets versus saws in terms of log cutting capability. This mildly interesting historical content with two guys in the desert was okay, but InRange really took off with their now-infamous Mud Test videos. These videos performed above and beyond what a small channel like InRange could have expected, and the simple act of pouring gritty slime into a gun (which was not popular or really done at the time) put them on the map. InRange/Karl was also known for the 2 Gun Action Challenge Match, footage of which was posted to the channel, and the shorthand 2gacm will be important later.
Another thing InRange was involved with is the "What Would Stoner Do?" carbine/rifle system, a thought-experiment turned lucrative enterprise about lightening the AR-15 rifle in any way possible. The basis was simple: How can you use modern manufacturing techniques such as steel stress relieving or new polymer types to lighten and feature-improve the AR-15 so as to bring a late-1950's design into the 21st century?
One of the (many) ways that Karl and Ian shaved a few ounces off their original WWSD2017 rifles was the use of an old Cav Arms polymer lower that is no longer in production. The benefits of a light rifle in terms of handling at matches seemed to be well-proven, so the IRTV audience at large went and tried to build clone guns. Eventually it was seen that the market demand could support a business venture into new production injection-molded AR-15 lower receivers (remember, to injection mold anything costs $50,000) and a company named KE Arms began to do just that in late 2020. The new "WWSD2020" rifles and their receivers both began to be sold at an online shop called Brownells, where you could order a KP-15 to your local gun store and pick it up.
However, KE Arms marketing guru and former friend of the IRTV channel (who has now been partially unpersoned, see Wired article) @Sinistral Rifleman Russell Phagan issued a new challenge to the users of ar15.com on Feb 3, 2023: support communists or don't buy a KP-15.
This was not a good idea.
Where's the funny?
Karl's relationship with women:
Initially, Karl presented a pretty professional front in his videos, with politics and personal views being kept off the channel. Then:A mysterious character showed up in the credits of some IRTV videos. Who is this new editor? This no doubt stunning beauty named Sarah Black?
Well, it's Karl's girlfriend Sarah Ponto Rivera who sometimes lets him watch when she has sex with other men (named Travis)
Sarah dumped him and he cried about it in the January 2022 Q&A:
Now he's only publicly associated with gay men:

Karl's relationship with politics:
Although InRange started as an austere channel with a strong focus on "the content", it eventually broadened in scope and Karl began using the channel as a mouthpiece for personal political views. After releasing a presentation video on a police shooting in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and a few days after George Floyd tragically overdosed on fentanyl, InRange posted a halt to all content in (May?) 2020.
The day after this break ended, he posted this on Facebook about Atun-Shei, a man he would later collaborate with:
Remember, Atun-shei’s qualification as a Civil War historian is that he was a tour guide
That side profile on Atun-shei
Incidentally, I don't think there's been proof of Ian McCollum ever having editorial control over the IRTV Facebook, Discord, or Twitter accounts (but since he's no longer on the channel that fact would only be a historical footnote one way or the other.)
Karl started to change from a barely-talk-about-politics-do-what-you-want-type into a Covidian at this time:
and wishing death on his viewers was not only not controversial but "liked" 4 times as much as the comment he responded to!
Karl's relationship with his viewers:
A rocky one to be sure! Here, he warns them with no tact whatsoever that the ATF might kill them for having a Tommybuilt.. ..which is probably true but he gets all stupid about it.
(thanks @S.C.U.D., @Mr. Confederate Man, @ellroy)
Karl being rude on reddit and the kiwi who spotted it
Karl's relationship with his kids:
A mega-cool Kiwi archived this here: https://archive.ph/tDzKx
Karl's relationship with his dad:
But that's okay. As Psalm 68 tells us:
A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows,
is God in his holy dwelling.
God sets the lonely in families,
he leads out the prisoners with singing;
but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.
Karl's relationship with God:
Karl is a practicing Arizonian Satanist who really doesn't like Christians because they're meanies. Karl is also mad that Christians have a heavenly Father (see above)I think the thumbnail of the second video says it all: "Karl Kasarda of the Satanic Temple Arizona"
But here's some pictures, because pictures are nice:
Karl joins the black parade despite not having a father to take him anywhere as a young boy:
I didn't update the OP when it happened, but at some point before May 15 2024, Karl got kicked out by the satanic temple:
I'm not sure how hard you have to tard in order to get the boot from satanists of all people, but Karl had a vision, a dream, and a tard (himself)
Karl's relationship with Brownells, ar15.com boomers and people who don't like child grooming:
A long time ago, a man who was not Karl posted some things on ar15.com.Well, not-Karl started a slapfight on ar15.com after saying he "will not post more nor again" with a message signed "Karl" on pg. 6 (but he returns on page 25) and got banned (archive) https://archive.md/bbz8y#
This post is why I think he's a scumbag, but the other stuff is actually really funny.
not-Karl continued to waver around the point, but it turns out that lying liars who are "cyber security specialists" lie:
but sadly, Karl's friend @SinistralRifleman just had to get snarky:
arfcom boomers took their fat wallets and went home, and now lefties are mad that because the sales director spit in their face, they aren't buying genderqueer-approved armalites anymore.
Karl then wisely took to Twitter and started whining (not a Twitter user myself but I think that's what the site is for)
https://archive.md/p2EGw https://archive.md/s8Sfv
and then he sniffed bravely, wiped his nose and bravely posted this:

Meanwhile, @Mikoyan was creepin' in his discord like a supersleuth
Karl and Russell were of course both mad that Ian won't join them in digging at the bottom of the pit they dug, so they're trying to fling dirt at him with their shovels. Unfortunately they're in a pit and the dirt is landing on them instead. Run Ian run!
And the boomers at ar15.com aren't done yet! Oh no sir, they started another thread. A slow read, but a funny one to be sure.

November 2025 Article in Wired magazine starring Karl, Tacticool GirlTroonfriend and DeviantOllam
https://archive.ph/ctdYa (thanks @AdmiralRenae)
In November of 2025, a rag called Wired wrote some stuff, I guess.
Leftist propaganda piece can't even pretend that Tacticool Troonfriend passes with a mask on, and also pretends that we haven't phonebooked him hereWired said:Her thick, black eyebrows and pronounced cheekbones make her stand out in a crowd, even when her mouth is covered by her keffiyeh, which she wears to hide her identity.
Anyway, after Karl's friend Brian Rea finished setting Idaho on fire, Karl chatted with Wired about some stuff:
Reminder: he was fired from satanism. Lol. Lmao.Wired said:A 51-year-old cis white man whose love of subcultures spans hacking, industrial music, and a stint as a minister with the Satanic Temple, Kasarda eschews the title of “leader.”
Some people think that arming your enemies is a short-sighted plan, and do not particularly want people like the below having guns:Wired said:Kasarda is a champion of “2A For All,” the belief that everyone, particularly minorities, should have access to arms.
I feel like I could really go somewhere with this kind of notoriety.Wired said:Kasarda’s views have pissed off right-wing gun nuts so badly that there are years-long angry threads about him on AR15.com and Kiwi Farms,
Anyways, the pressure against Karl was pretty bad, and he actually split with his longtime friend (and one of only two guntubers manly enough to have a Kiwi Farms account) @SinistralRifleman Russell Phagan over the matter. In a January 9 2026 post that I think sums up things fairly well, Russell said:
I won't write more here about 2A4ALL, as I trust the judgment of the reader to determine if it is a movement they would like to support. But suffice it to say, the breakup hasn't been pleasant, and much milk has flowed from Karl's stubbornness over the matter.Herein lies the problem with that Wired article and Karl’s promotion of it; it changes the totality of circumstances. The Wired article crossed a line towards definitively associating InRange and Brutality matches with political extremism.
Brutality has already lost one venue, and the brand is likely permanently tainted by the Wired article, explicitly being associated with hard leftists politics, and too many drama cycles.
I have also been told that the range which held High Desert Brutality has canceled future events there, but it is unclear to me at this time if it is related to the fire that Rea started or politics.
