I highly doubt Ralph is really reaching new people, finding new subscribers or people to throw money at him. During the YouTube heyday he was probably earning less, but clipping channels had the benefit of being picked up by the algorithm, and his engagement with Jim exposed him to a large audience. This is obvious to me, the killstream has always been about the guests and cohosts. I didn't watch it much but Ralph always struck me as a milquetoast host even if I liked him for mirroring my political beliefs. What shocks me is that he has ANY fans left than prefer him over all the people hes burned bridges with. I want a full psychological profile of everyone that went to ralphamania and actually watches the killstream. Why?
Since then, while he has monetised his audience more effectively it has dwindled. Cozy.TV saw and uptick, because he was exposed more readily to Nick's followers, and the site is, if nothing else, at least fairly good in terms of its UI. The limits of Nick's audience size means any growth from this was strictly limited.
This means that Ralph has a sizeable amount of paypigs, people who follow Ralph and give Ralph money because it's Ralph. He's like their white noise, their friend sat on a couch. They probably enjoy living vicariously through him as a giant piece of unrelenting shit. Additionally, he has their politics so they're nodding along to him all the way.
That's the explanation for Ralph's continued pull, he has a devoted and established audience of paypigs. That said, paypigs aren't necessarily forever - so once a few decide that their money is better spent on themselves than strangers online, things could get interesting. My guess is Ralph then takes his own life, he's talked about it before.
