He won't say or due anything and if it's brought up to him, he just cops out with "I can't control what people do." While true, it his is sycophants doing it so if Daddy Nick says stop, most of them will.

Not that I remember, but my guess would be that due to losing the first two, they just kept going until it noticably was a detriment to their way of life. I've known several people who lost several kids prior to successfully having their first, and each of them ended up having at least 3 regardless of religious persuasion
