Gender-nonconforming was a label invented to distinguish cetain cis people from trans e.g a butch lesbian is not a trans man, she is gender nonconforming. Lumping and mashing the two groups together is disrespectful to both, full stop.

Maybe they should interrogate all the kids before they let them go to school to figure out which ones are trannies, then make them wear a special badge on their clothes.

Billie, that kid didn't "come out" as anything. You showed up in their class, told them any behavior outside stereotypical gender norms makes one "gender fluid", and then a boy who doesn't really like G.I Joes said that means he's genderfluid because he's a goddamn 8-year-old and has no reason to think you're full of shit. You're not educating, you're indoctrinating.
