I just ran through the highlights (with a few posts on either side of them) of the thread and cannot see anything that could be viably considered escalation, except for that one bomb threat post which was obviously fake.

Did I miss something, wtf happened?

Regardless of how people speak on this site, isn't it better to keep it up to honeypot threats instead of being like, if we can't see/hear them surely they won't do anything!

I'm pretty unimpressed with CF's decision, I would never call for a website that I disagree with or find "harmful" to be removed from the internet. It's just wiping things from history. Who can say who is "on the right side of history" in another 50 years, but cool, straight up silencing people you disagree with is awesome.

I do fear this kind of pressure will trickle onto more important communities such as medical/scientific fields eventually.
