These people don't seem know that point of depates isn't the people departing but the listeners. They are the people you are trying to win over because that's what depates are great for.

Most people when they are in argument or depate, no matter how friendly, have made their mind on the topic and naturally are trying win and sound good. They aren't mentally in a place to change their minds, some still might but mostly no. People listening otherhand have don't have much to loose and so are more open hearing and comparing merits of different points of view. This can and does change minds, this why formal deaptes are used as a common tool in learning, politics and law.

So if you jump on a reasonable or common question with an attack you will come across as unhinged or unreasonable and so will loose support. It doesn't matter if the other side is asking in bad faith or to annoy you, as long as the listener finds the question itself reasonable or would ask it in good faith they want you anwer the question that way. People aren't after all just listening your points, but if should take your word on them. If you don't seem worth of listening, they won't listen you.

Doctors usually sling tramadol at patients when they think there’s an abuse/druggie potential.

Tramadol is a weird ass drug. A low potency synthetic opiate that also fucks with the seretonin system.

Either you LOOOVE them, or you’re “meh!”. It has quite an abuse potential though that isn’t really recognized by many docs. (Probably because it’s kinda hit or miss how people react. And partly because many users quickly upgrade to harder opiates.)

But it is one of the most abused drugs in the Middle East, with tramadol being smuggled by the goddamn metric ton.

TLDR: Doc figured she was either a current or potential druggie. Between the euphoria and the effect on the seretonin system, this tranny is going to be flying and feeling super euphoric the next week or two.

Reality is going to hit her like a motherfucking bus, once the high wears off.

Could also be an allergy/bad reaction to hydrocodone. I can't take hydrocodone because it makes me feel like utter shit for six hours. The pain is preferable. I got tramadol for my recent surgery because of that.

I think it's funny that the corpulent soyboys and autistic dateless wonders who make up the majority of STEM dudes (particularly in the engineering and Technology portions of that acronym) are some how chad alpha competitors to the point that women are turned off from the profession. Have you met engineers in real life? They certainly aren't what I would consider ambitious, overall. Computing is actually interesting, because right after the war the field was much more equal, since a lot of computer programming was considered "soft work" akin to clerical work that women were suited for, it's only in the 70's as computing starts becoming important to commercial operations that you start seeing a noticeable trend of more men going in, and that exacerbated as the internet and the dotcom boom make the field lucrative. Like the idea of cooking being women's work, but most chefs being male, the divide mostly has to do with the amount of money the industry brings in. When there's a lot of money to be made, men try to keep women out. It's not that the fields themselves require masculine competition, it's that competitive and hostile males force out women as a way of securing their own position (even if they themselves are mediocre). One thing I do think men are better at, through socialization or instinct, is selling themselves and playing up their accomplishments. Women in my experience tend to do the opposite, they minimize and try to act as part of the team and not stand out. This is another way MTF troons stand way out to me in terms of their behavior. The proportion of women in computer science is actually on a downward trend since the 1980s, and the total number of women receiving comp-sci degrees peaked in 2003. So it seems weird, given the number of tranny programmers, to attribute
troon growth to a trend that is actually going in the inverse direction as troonism ramped up.

I would posit that the actual major source of increase for both MTF and FTM troons is just social media. There are now networks for these people to actively go out and recruit new followers to their paraphilias, in much the same way you see with furries, bestiality fetishists, or diaper fetishists.

As I said, it’s very hit or miss. Some people, like you, aren’t impressed and might notice a slight decrease in their lives pain from 6 to 5.

Others try it and absolutely LOOOVE them.

It probably has something to do with the way Tranadol affects the seretonin system, but more research is needed.

(Then again, opiates tend to have a similar effect. Some people aren’t impressed with them and just get nauseous from for example morphine. Others are instantly hooked and lay drooling mumbling about how they’ve never felt this amazing. More research is needed, and maybe some day we will uncover some kind of “opiate vaccination”.
