I dunno who in their right mind considers 30 to be middle aged, other than 12 year olds.

Edit: those that disagree are underageb&. Seriously though, 30 being "middle-aged" would mean 60 is the life expectancy. If you don't live in a shithole (because you certainly don't live in Rome circa 40 BC), that's simply not the case.
