I think this is newish

Different kinda war in the sandbox but the experience is still very real. One of the reasons so many casualties on the Russian side is complete lack of combat experience.

I spent far longer I than should in US military in the infantry and kicked around in sandbox for a while. While it’s not conventional warfare, there is massive difference between unit that has seen combat and one that hasn’t. National Guard units would freeze at first gunshot, people would have to compute exactly what was going on, and the reaction times were shit (if not freeze up). After a while, their reaction times are good, they know how to react, and they know proper response. Big difference.

Russia got their shit pushed in because they didn’t have any of these qualities. A lot of their military was a paper tiger and they have proved it.

Leaked intel suggested they expected two weeks of resistance — they definitely didn’t do this for the experience.
the experience is real but it does not really prepare for a real war

like yeah your soldiers get desensitized to the sound of AK fire, and you probably learn a lot about planning and securing convoy routes in order to avoid getting blown up by IEDs buried in the dirt roads. maybe you learn to spot and neutralize suicide bombers before they tear a bunch of your guys to pieces.

but this does not prepare you for what it's like to wage war against a real army that wields real modern weapon systems in large quantities. getting your base blown up by cruise missiles from dozens of miles away, being stuck in a trench while getting pounded by artillery fire, finding yourself in the middle of an MRLS barrage, being tracked and attacked by drones and close air support, etc.

That's the part that gets me, snowniggers are only one degree removed from the dog eater bugmind and thus should almost exclusively rely on sheer numbers to win a conflict.
The comparison of the mentality and the number of the population of China and Russia is quite strange because there are 10 times more people in China, which leads to an inflation of the value of life, while Russia, on the contrary, is trying to increase the population with social programs.

And the victory of the Russian troops solely due to their number is a myth that came from the Pyrrhic victory in Finland, where the first half of the war was catastrophic until the Russian army there was increased by more than 2 times.

In World War II, the numerical advantage was for the Reich, as now the numerical advantage is for Ukraine.

Would you believe me when I tell you that "video confessions" of Russian PoWs are fakes? Hohols are such degenerates they can't even keep a tight ship while running their psyop.

I'd say months of open warfare makes harder men than what you'd get from years of base-hopping and dodging IEDs/mortars from goat fuckers. Russia is killing boys and making men. The western Mediaberg apparatus demonizing the common people of Russia has likely served to galvanize their tolerance for this conflict long term.

uhhh yeah it does…

What do you think ‘real war’ is?

Is it tank battles? Is it getting bombarded from arty while you hide and hope you don’t get fucked up? Jets zipping overhead shooting ordinance over the horizon through targeting systems? They are an aspect of it but you don’t have to get fucked up to know how to react.

Combat experience simply makes you more reactive to the situations and let training override your fear.

No clue what your experience is in this field but getting shot at daily, mortared, and dodging ambushes and IEDSs does count as ‘real war’. I’ve been in hours long firefights, maybe not ww2 type shit, but I’d like to think that counts for something in terms of experience of ‘real war’.

This conflict is unusual as it is conventional warfare on larger scale. Lotta analysts seeing what works, what doesn’t, and what the fuck needs to be thrown out. If anything, Ukraine is testing ground for a lot of new tech and tactics

man who fought bolshevism/afa all his life

Rest in piss two retards, a few dozen thousands more to go yet, at the very least.

You have to be more specific, according to them russians have been losing every single day of war.
Hohols are at the Kremlin gates already, shitting at the Red Square. Перемога through the fecal matters, like true barbarians.

the original post was about russia using this war to get military experience that will be helpful in a future full scale conventional war against NATO

and i think a (hypothetical) future full scale conventional war between russia and NATO would have a lot more in common with this current russia-ukraine war than with american counterinsurgency deployments in the middle east. thus, the russian troops will indeed be more experienced and thus better prepared for such a war than westerners, in that regard the sentiment of the original post is correct.

Wait, they presented this as a real Russian prisoner? Lmao

By the way, the first soldier who got out of the car, who played the role of a LPR soldier, has an interesting skull on his uniform.

It does not bode well for anyone that foreign legionnaires are trying to fight in the East like that.

That is the Ukrainian Armed Forces using foreign fighters in a disputed region - the Brits, as stupid as they were with Northern Ireland, went through great effort to avoid that image, sending Scots (since posh Englanders seem to think Scotland and Ireland are similar) and local (Protestant) soldiers.

Ukraine is pushing for a domestic race war.

I was pointing out that NATO forces do have experience in ‘real war’. They have not recently been engaged in conventional warfare but it does not mean Russia will be better prepared than western forces.

Against Ukrainian forces, which are relatively poorly trained and under-equipped, they have gotten fucked up in comparison to previous conventional belief of the military capability.

If anything, they have proven they are even less prepared for a NATO confrontation. I will admit the west would not be prepared for casualties of any kind, let alone the numbers that would follow a conventional war. However, unless China joined Russia’s side, and no nuclear weapons are in play, it would be child’s play to roll over Russia with NATO forces.

Ukraine has proven that

After the war he can start a career in standup comedy.
That is if he doesn't end up as one of Kadyrov's war brides.
Woah that torture chamber still has walls.
