They have a 'snack' consisting of plain white bread, slathered in butter and covered in sprinkles they call fairy bread. I'm not surprised the idea of proper snack foods and candies are alien to them.

I remember the ogey rrat mentioned on yesterday's chadcast that American snacks are very expensive in Aussieland. They were talking about junkfood they had as children. Bae missed out on gushers, fruit rollups, and poptarts apparently.

I still am in awe that vtubers feel like a niche otaku fandom while simultaneously ironmouse is the most subscribed to act on twitch surpassing people like xqc.

Wait until gifted subs expire, she was farming subs lately and I imagine a large chunk of them are temporary.

I agree and I think that this speaks to the growing alienation of the people from what is supposed to be "mainstream" media, as dictated by a handful of disproportionately wealthy and powerful corporations who are actively trying to turn the world into Demolition Man. Things like removing the dislike button and fucking with search algorithms distort perceptions of what's popular, while something that's popular because people actually like it feels "niche" and anomalous.

Then again vtubers have a global audience, so maybe the "niche" appearance is because while they have a big cumulative following, their following in any given country is still "niche" in that country compared to that country's mainstream.
 
I've been sperging hard trying to catch up in multiple games I've neglected lately so I haven't been reading much. Here is some content: an anti insults Gundou Mirei via superchat and it cracks her up big time.

80-90% of the subs are gifted and lasts only a month, i doubt most of the people who got a sub might pay for a resub after they expire.
