So fun fact about Canada's antifa, it's actually hush-hush that some get flown around for protests by the NDP (at least here in AB) because there usually aren't enough locally. Sometimes even US antifa come over. As for effectiveness, they just kinda show up and mill around, sometimes they set up tent cities but they don't even sleep in them lol. They're probably paid just to make it look like a cause has backing.
Ottawa might have the numbers. But it's also cold, and these people are weak-willed, so they won't stick around for long.

EDIT: To be clear, when I say that "I love" that part of Reddit, I'm not saying I love Reddit. It was just a figure of speech and I do not actually condone having positive feelings for Reddit. My deepest apologies to all offended, especially to the BIPOC members of our community. I promise to do better and not repeat this mistake again in the future.

I had a conversation earlier with someone I know irl who is covid-crazy and it was the weirdest conversation ever. He was bitching about these "ANTI-VAXX FAR RIGHT WHITE SUPREMACISTS" protesting and then complained about taxes, expensive groceries, blah blah blah. He also thinks we should shut down everything every time the hospitals are ~overwhelmed~

Painfully out of touch with reality. They live in their own little fantasy world of politically constructed narratives. Telling these people to "touch grass" is telling them to get out of their bubble and see how life actually works what it's actually like out there. They never do though.
