Aren't there yet, two (Alberta and Saskatchewan) have said they'll likely start removing restrictions at the end of February, but that's not guaranteed.

Do expect end of the month to turn into later next week the longer these protests continue and keep on growing though. Yesterday really was the encouragement everyone needed; this weekend is going to be a riot.

He's the Mitch Mcconnell of Canada. Yea he was ousted for not supporting the truckers. I think we need a Canadian to answer anything else.

This is the part where the party figures out what they were doing is deeply unpopular with their base and immediately lay blame on a scapegoat while reversing direction. Eh, better than nothing.

Hope somebody writes a rebuttal to that and sticks it alongside stating the following:

"You have received a miniscule amount of the suffering of those victimized by the BLM and Antifa riots the Prime Minister sides with. At least we have not burned and looted as those groups have. Our conditions must be met in order for the protest to cease. Take up your grievances with those in positions of power who view us as truckers as disposable slabs of meat with no individual liberty. We are staying, we are honking, and buy earphones."

You know how the Republican party has RINOs? Imagine if one of them became party leader.

O'Toole is the federal Conservative leader, at least until a few minutes ago. In the immediate future the Cons will choose an intern leader until they can schedule a leadership convention in a few months. Whether or not the new leader is more conservative is anyone's guess, but as O'Toole tried being a centrist, it's likely the next one will at least try pretending to be more conservative.

As for why he was ousted there were a lot of reasons, but the truckers and O'Toole's waffling and both sides fence sitting is likely the straw which broke the camel's back.

He was the leader of Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition, the federal Conservative party. For the last two years the main opposition parties have been having contests to see who can rubber stamp Justin’s bullshit faster.

We just had an election last fall and not one main party opposed mandates. Just Max and the People’s Party.

This week our “conservative” avatar called the truckers racist and disruptive and said they should leave. This has not worked out well for him.

This, he had the exact same talking points as Trudeau with miniscule differences. The left thought he was a far-right Trump who was gonna take away abortion or something despite being a #feministally, and the boomer con voters were ignoring the fact he was admitting to wanting to do the same things as the Liberals but still voted for him anyway. lol
 
It's interesting to note today as well that the Mounties have changed their public messaging over the Coutts blockade from "enforce the law and make arrests" to "monitoring the situation" and have requested the support of other police.

No one wants to be the one to pull the trigger on ending this likely out of fear it's only to blow things up.
