So, if this ends up successful, and knowing Justin it won't be, would we see similar convoys invade other capitals? Like one in DC, or one in some Europoor country or something?

That's supposedly in the works. People here have posted screenshots of Europeans organizing something similar and there are rumors of a DC convoy.

Big rumors about a California to DC convoy. Heard smaller rumors about shit in Italy. And a couple people mentioned talk amongst cargo ships.

Oh no, please. Anything but that. :story: Are they gonna bore us to death? They can barely summon the effort to post let alone actually be entertaining anymore given the size of their threads.
They're gonna write well thought out essays

Some rail unions have been talking about striking, but that's more related to bad security in some shit hole cities.

If that DC convoy materializes I think it has a far lower chance of going as peacefully as this has so far. DC glowies and urbanites are decidedly a different beast from their leaf counterparts in Ottawa.

:story: oh hell if truckers go ahead and blockade that pass the economic screws will really start twisting. For those unfamiliar Crowsnest Pass is the main route for trucks crossing between Alberta and BC; there are only two other routes (Vermilion and Kicking Horse) and they aren't meant for heavy commercial traffic. Blockade Crowsnest and it effectively shuts down non-rail transport between Vancouver and the rest of Canada.

Some peeps clearly have gotten the green light to go wild after the police retreat today.

It’s the fulda gap of the economy in Canada

Well that would explain the media silence if it is indeed blocked. I'd panic if I were a Canadian bugman

Watching some DC convoy planning. Not sure how serious it is, but they're talking about doing it.

The crowsnest isn't a superhighway, either. Single lane for most of it, I'm pretty sure. There's a hell of a set of switchbacks just outside of Osoyoos that could absolutely be jammed tight with very little effort.

I'm assuming it's the Osoyoos crossing they're blockading, but if not it wouldn't be hard to move some trouble in there. The tightest corner has to be driven at 20km/h in a passenger vehicle: I'd imagine you could jam an old logging truck in there pretty tight.
