He might smile more if he MOVED OUT OF HOME at TWENTY THREE. Living with Jeanette no wonder he's a psycho sad virgin. He has to suppress his inner screaming.
Seriously, isn't it normal to be out of the house by that age? Living with parents because housing prices are unaffordable or you're saving up, or need to save while just getting started on your career/doing unpaid internships, is a totally different situation. I just don't get why he would keep living there. It's also a total pussy repellant.
There isn't anything wrong with living at home at 23 if you're working and just starting out. Everything is ridiculously expensive.

I think you answered your own question though: he's not saving and he has no career and he is literally mooching off of Jazz's D-list fame and he will ride it as long as he can.

I don't want to reignite the who-is-white conversation because I don't care and it doesn't matter, but within the context of this being a woke American family, that statement jumped out at me too.

The whole lot of them are ambiguously swarthy.

Those family members really are just Jews of Eastern European descent. I do some genealogy work and kinda sperged out after the last conversation about this and found some family trees from that family. Greg's family is all from the Ukraine/Russia. Jeanette's family is all from Poland/Russia. Remember the Ashkenazi came to Europe by way of the Mediterranean; the light skin of some is the result of mixing. Others, like Greg's mom Phyllis, who just passed away, were quite dark. Greg and Jazz take after Phyllis. The rest look more like Grandma Jackie. I have seen high school pictures of both Phyllis and Jackie.

Grandpa's original surname is Babyatsky (from some town in Poland), not Barie. He changed it around the time he graduated from med school.

Yes, I get the "but some people consider jews POC" thing but remember these folks are in Florida, where the sun burns all the time and the Jewish population is very significant.

And, one last point: fuck the bio kids, the real reason that no-one will date troons is ANOTHER rule from the olden days of yore, 'don't stick your dick in crazy'.
Literally none of this addresses the core concern. Namely that "they" want children that are biologically half-them and half-their-partner.

And, TBH, most people are quite particular about the sex of the people they date. Truth is, transwomen are men and transmen are women. It's not just about their parts, it's about how they behave, how they approach life, how they grew up. Putting on a frock, growing manboobs, cutting off your breasts doesn't change that. I teach at a university and have several trans students. The transwomen act like the other men and the transmen act like the other women. I keep my mouth shut, as I would like to stay employed, but it is nuts. Whenever I know that the female students are all going to stay after to talk about something, the transmen will be there. Whenever I know that some of the male students are going to cut off the women or "mansplain," the transwomen will be leading the charge. That's part of the reason the women are silenced in this discussion, with these guys joining women's sports teams and harassing women in the locker rooms -- the transwomen bully the women into submission, and the transmen, who are crazy to start and even crazier on testosterone, constantly lecture the other women about their "transphobia."

The lesbian dating apps are overrun with these guys. I just checked match for W4W my own age and close to half are transwomen. On the dating apps, they edit their pictures and try to make themselves look more feminine, but you can always tell in person. Plus, how many women are actually six feet tall? I feel bad for tall lesbians on these apps, as many lesbians won't even talk to someone over 5 foot 7 or so anymore as the chances of them being not lesbians but male goes way up after that point. If you put on your profile that you prefer natal females, you get yourself banned from the site. The older lesbians have to do everything privately, by word of mouth, if they don't want the trannies to show up and ruin everything. Just like the 1950s. I've been to a few events overrun by transwomen and they are pushy and obnoxious. The ones who have had SRS smell terrible. It's a weird, unpleasant smell. Not sure what it is because I knew that some of these guys had the SRS well into adulthood. But it sure doesn't smell like woman, even when they splash perfume on themselves.
Also, surrogates are people, not resources, and the whole trans mentality of "just use someone else's womb" is repulsive
Thank you. Commodification of women's bodies is indeed repulsive.

Who the fuck could date a tranny for six god damn years without figuring out it wasn't a women?
No one. If you meet these guys you know. They can fake it in a photo but never in person. There was an article in our local paper a while back with some transwoman claiming that he went to the gynecologist and the gyno could not tell, and these innocents in their 20s just slurp up these lies and believe them. The transwoman was lying, or the gynecologist was lying; but anyone, anywhere can tell.

Troons always forget that men and women smell different (nose-blindness due to depression-induced hoarding and lack if showers prehaps?) and get clocked by evil terf nazi dogs all the time.
Yes, they smell different, and women have a heightened sense of identifying people by sex because your animal brain needs to know when it is time to run and hide. Not only that, but the amhole makes peculiar odors that are nothing like the scent of vagina. Not really sure why any of them bother, they need to just use that little tuck contraption and live with it.

When you start dating someone, to me at least, you figure out if your both on the same page with wanting children.

It was clearly a strawman argument regardless if your partner is that dishonest with you its a really bad sign.

Just watched the scene with the guys & Noah and fuck that was more annoying than I thought it would be. Noah is essentially throwing infertile women (and men) under the bus to make the point that ~transwomen are women~. The misogyny is strong in this one.
Spoiler: that argument still doesn’t make any sense and I wish troons would stop using it. Infertile women are and have always been female.
This is the result of removing the biology from the ideology. Despite all shenanigans TERFs do about "muh biological wahmen", they were all on board for distancing motherhood from women. Yes, not all women want kids and not all become mothers, but the BIOLOGICAL PURPOSE of a woman is to get pregnant and give birth, that's what defines being an adult human female, the definition they love to use (and that is accurate).

Also, most women not only become mothers, but most women WANT to become mothers and do become mothers eventually. Whenever one can't, it's a full tragedy for her and the family, enough to make her bitter for the rest of her life, even after adoption (I've seen cases).

Her argument is stupid, though. I mean, it's like saying a person born without hands is not a human because humans are supposed to have hands. Fucking moron.

I haven't seen this and I seek out and read TERF content all the time. I see bloggers like BrazenShe proudly declare themselves feminists and talk about being a mom. Janice Raymond wrote examinations of motherhood and reproductive technologies. She also described transgenderism as stemming from the "myth" of "male motherhood" - you can't really accuse AGPs of womb envy if you want motherhood to not have anything to do with women.
Also let's not forget the "Transwidows Escape Commitee" on Mumsnet. If they wanted to pretend not to be mums, why put it in the site name?
I think the people trying to decouple motherhood from women are the pregnant transmen who yell at La Leche League about inclusive language.

Sorry but in the 90's-2000's there was definitely a movement re: "maternalism," how a woman didn't have to have kids to be complete, how it didn't make her more/less of a woman, how ppl shouldn't even consider it as part of her identity unless and until she decided to have kids, etc. I mean I think it's dumb and I'm not arguing for it but it certainly was a not-insignificant part of The Feminist Discourse (ugh)

how it didn't make her more/less of a woman,
I agree with this. There's no way to be more or less of a woman - you either are or you aren't.
Jazz will never be one, no matter how waxed his legs are or how long his hair is. Noah will always be one, no matter how many surgeries she gets. Ari doesn't have any kids, and she's a woman. Marci Bowers has three kids, and he's not.

This for sure. I've seen people bring it up even on the first couple of dates because it's such a big, important deal. Some people say "Oh no don't do that it's uncouth" but honestly children are one of the single most important things in many people's lives, so those who want them have every right not to waste their time on relationships where that isn't a possibility.

I got curious and I guess this actually touched a Noah-nerve because I found this on her Tiktok:

God, that woman is insufferable. No wonder why her family threw her out. They were fed up with her crazy bullshit. Imagine having to deal with her on a daily basis - awful!

Do keep in mind these "transwomen" are nothing more than AGPs who get off on the very idea of being a woman. If they claim to be lesbian and are trans, they're sick assholes who want people to cater to their fetish.

I think Jazz would be a very handsome young man if he had been allowed his puberty and kept a healthy weight.

I agree with this. There's no way to be more or less of a woman - you either are or you aren't.

Yeah, I agree w/that part, ofc. But I just think the whole atomized, individualistic, living-in-a-vacuum "having kids/not having kids doesn't mean anything about me at all personally" is where it can get a bit weird. Like, yeah, it doesn't make you a good or bad person, more or less of a woman, more or less adult or accomplished, etc. But reproductive capabilities or lack thereof, and what you do w/them, are significant in the life of a woman. They just are. The risk and outcome are more dire than with men, for starters, and women's reproductive capabilities (or lack thereof) have big-time ramifications for all of society across human history whether you yourself personally can (or want) to get knocked up or not, TIF or infertile or whatever or not.
Like, sorry ~Noah~, we don't all get what we want, or get to be regarded as blank slates totally divorced from biology or the rest of society. I say this as someone with fertility problems btw, but I'm not going to drown them in cope.

Anyway now that I've fully sperged: what are our Jazz predictions re: college? Personally I feel a lot of doom and doubt about Harvard. If he quietly goes to Harvard and it's all hush hush and we don't see excitement or chat about classes and stupid shit he's learned, I'm just going to assume they're ushering him through fake curriculum to get it over with. The "college experience" these days is kind of dumb anyway but I don't think he's even going to be able to have that. Sad

Personally I think the only college experience that really matters is getting the qualifications and contacts necessary to get a job.
There was a reason feminists worked so hard to get women allowed into higher education and professions - having your own money and career open up a wealth of freedoms.
Of course I want that for Jazz. It'd be great if he could use his degree and time at Harvard to make a life for himself out from under Jeanette's dilaton rod thumb.
Of course his actual odds look pretty grim, but I still think the guy has it in him.
Those guys are doing some creative finances and Sander the dumb fuck is going to be their fall guy.
Their transition into the Bluth family will be complete.

I'll be doing recaps of episodes of earlier seasons, including the very first episode. But, just so everyone knows, Sander and Griffin were annoying about the trans stuff from the very first season. So Sander being an annoying self righteous douche is not a new trait he just developed. The twins also berate a supposed friend for thinking trans is a choice, and it's very odd the supposed friend was all "Oh, I thought you guys gave Jazz a decision. Do you want to be a boy or girl?" HMMMM......Which isn't out of line of what Jeanette spouts off in the first season, saying "Jazz came up to me and asked me if she was a boy or a girl." And they cut the scene at that.

I'm almost surprised Discovery+ is streaming all the seasons, considering I'm only 4 episodes in the first season, and there are so many obvious red flags that Jeanette forced her son and the rest of her family into her munchie by proxy.

Also, fourth episode, Ari comes home, and Jeanette and Greg immediately place restrictions on her, such curfew, then talk to each other about how Ari is doing with all these new freedoms, and uh oh, her grades aren't straight As anymore, and Jeanette admits to having some GPS tracker on Ari, apparently without Ari's knowledge. Greg is not horrified by that, and just laughs off that it's useless because Ari wakes up when Jeanette falls asleep at night.

I am really amazed that Jeanette's insane, abusive, controlling behavior is being shown as though it's just because she loves her family so much. There is obvious tension between the siblings, even from the very beginning. And that is typical with children who are raised by a narcissist.

ETA: Episode 4, and Jazz and Jeanette talk about Jazz's book, then at the end of the conversation, Jazz wants to go out to eat after the book signing, and Jeanette states "It's always about food with you" and Jazz replies, "Food makes me happy."

So, in Season 1, Episode 4, we see Jazz is already in the beginning stages of his addiction to food.

Jazz is too dumb and lazy for any of the notoriously demanding majors, so I think he can do well enough--and yes, he will be propped up as much as possible--if he sticks to the subjects he's talked about before like gender studies and religion where there are lots of lighter electives about anime or ghosts or "street dance activism" each semester. I don't think anyone will even let him take classes that are too taxing tbh; I'm sure his adviser or whoever is clued in to the situation of crafting a vanity degree for a "media personality."

Anyway, I strongly believe that crippling depression and anxiety plus other trans-related health issues are the (valid and awful) reasons he may not finish Harvard, not the curriculum itself.

I feel like I saw a rumour somewhere that Jazz is doing a gender studies and psychology major.

Wonder if there's any chance a kiwi attends harvard and could drop some insight. I did find this on Twitter:

Still hasn’t legally changed his name.

Wondering why no one on campus has spilled the beans of Jazz sightings, especially in a classroom where you sit there for 50+ min, and sneaking a photo is easy. Maybe Jazz gets up in the front of every class on the first day and grovels for silence because he’s on an all-important tv show. I can imagine in a gender special class they could respect the pronouns AND no-photo requests. Can’t imagine actual NDAs would fly. Or maybe Jazz decided on all online classes like I speculated a couple pages back. With excuses like “easing into the college life,” fulfilling FL BS filming/codependency, and social distancing because of the plague.

I really hope Jeanette is staying the fuck out of sight and Jazz can have some semblance of a college life.

I really wish Jazz the best at Harvard. It must be a breath of fresh air to be away from Jeannette. The stereotypical overbearing Jewish mother is one thing, but she takes it to a whole new level. I'm sure Jazz still feels the weight of her presence through the phone via texts and daily "DID YOU DILATE?!" calls. I hope Jazz has as normal a college experience as possible by making some actual friends that aren't there to be on TV and talk about things besides OMG TRANS. Hopefully that will lead to some independent thinking for once in Jazz' life. But...I am afraid it may be too late and the brainwashing can never be undone, at least in Jazz' case. It would be world shattering to acknowledge you never really had a choice and even if you thought that you did it was all an illusion. Because now your dick is gone and you're stuck with a backyard tire swing full of stagnant water for a vagina all because your mother is a stupid fucking bitch who treated you like a literal guinea pig and your father didn't have the testicular fortitude to slap her across the face when she suggested mutilating your genitals...Anyways, good luck.

When I look at sander I wonder if he ever actually, legitimately smiled because he was happy or felt joy. It's really not that hard to move those muscles around your eyes and fake a true smile, not for me anyway. It's clear as all hell thanks to the wrinkles he spends hours in the mirror practicing this stupid fucking expression and it's still completely devoid of any emotion, how the fuck do you even accomplish that when it's the one thing you're doing CONSTANTLY? Did he have a stroke at some point and has some muscles paralyzed?

Holy fuck!! Ari is 25 and turns 26 this year. She is an adult woman...it's sad that she can't cut these monsters out of her life forever.
