It's almost like being isolated from society and only interacting with perverted unhinged strangers harms your psyche and makes you adopt fringe ideas that you wouldn't even consider in your normal life.

Will the Tomboycaust ever be stopped? The hope is slowly fading with each passing day.

I understand that mental illness messes up your cognitive functions, but this line of thinking is funny to me. "Could these severely negative feelings about my body be caused by a plethora of my mental issues? Nah, the body hatred and discomfort are fine, I just want a different illness."

Or, how to say: "I have absolutely no problems in my life" without saying it outright.

This innocent soul didn't realise that this subreddit is not for translating, but for grandpas taking selfies in lady knickers.

* And adding to the discussion above, the typical sour-ish smell of a (healthy) vagina is caused by the lactic acid, which has a cleaning and antibacterial purpose. Are these dolts seriously implying that taking the tittles made their dick skin secrete acid like a venomous frog?

Ultimately the problem is that it's behavior, not identity, that gets policed. Gay men are singled out by either their partner or their effeminacy, lesbians by the partner, or their masculinity. The thing that ultimately links them together under one label isn't some common "identity", it's a common experience of having their natural tendency to gender variant behavior targeted by the mainstream, and that commonality is what creates the identity. Someone who identifies as bi, but is in all respects living a heterosexual lifestyle, is in some ways of doing the same thing a troon is (albeit with maybe a little more anchoring in reality). They are in effect arguing that some unobservable variable makes them more special than you. There are plenty of gay dudes and ladies (and some straight dudes and ladies) who are exclusively gay (or straight) now, who were effectively bi earlier in their lives. The one way in which bi people do get judged is retrospectively on their history of partners. You can argue how much of a problem that is, but the important thing to note is that it's the behavior (sleeping with both men and women) not their identity, the people single them out on, and that is largely relating to finding a long term partner. That's why it's exhausting when you have people, either in gay or straight relationships, who hold up a hand and say "actually I'm bi". So what? The identity is irrelevant to how society is going to treat them, because since they're already part of a couple, they will either have the experience of a gay relationship, or a straight one. This is even worse with the made up nonsense like "demisexuality", which I swear started as a joke is now just being treated like its a real thing.

This is the thing that so infuriating about this modern obsession with "identity". Identities are not things that exist inherent to you, they are labels applied to you by society based on your appearance or behavior. Before it got filed down to just a "#born this way" hashtag, the argument gay men and lesbians were making was that across history and across the animal kingdom, gender variance was normal. They were appealing to common humanity and mutual respect as a reason let them live their lives. No gay person ever argued that they internally experienced anguish because someone thought they were straight, in fact passing as straight was about the best thing possible.* They wanted their behavior to be understood as normal.

Respectfully, this is quite insane.

Lesbianism, male homosexuality, and bisexuality are not identities. They are sexualities. They do not disappear when you are not actively fucking someone. Everything else in these paragraphs flows from this mistake.

I don't know how the idea of an "identity" took over and subsumed the idea of "who you want to have sex with" (I blame the troons) but that is... not what LGB is. It's who you want to have sex with. That is inherent to you. If a gay or bisexual man sees another man he is attracted to, his brain doesn't care if he "identifies" as gay or not. He will feel sexual attraction.

Sure, you can argue that bisexuals have privilege when they're in an opposite-sex relationship, I won't argue with that, but framing LGB essentially as a set of "identities" is just... no. It's about who you want to fuck.

It never occurred to me that the trans movement would be linked to transhumanist ideology, but it makes perfect sense.
It's part of the reason for unrealistic GRS expectations, because of how transhumanist media (e.g. Deus Ex or Cyberpunk) portrays human bodies as being like "plug and play" devices. Hence why Kevin and co seem to think it would be trivial to do a uterus transplant into a trans woman or that his nerves are just "waking up".

Found this suicidal tranny while looking around KawaiTea's channel.
They don't seem mentally that well
One thing that I observed with small troon streamers is that they take so many hiatuses, like it's really hard to stream yourself playing Runescape for the 100th time. Isn't streaming supposed to be some of the easiest ways to pump out content.

I'll leave the links to his other socials here

Well color me surprised.

Can you imagine telling your 100 subscribers about your attempted suicide? Jesus.
All the videos have double-digit viewer counts, so really he's probably just talking to maybe one person plus some trickle-in views from bots and us.

No one's really watching, but at least he has a hobby that keeps him from killing himself...but just barely.

No one said trans men can't get jaw fillers, no one is gatekeeping anything other than amputating large amounts of flesh/entire organs.
To get that amount of filler to create a whole ass jawline is redonculous. I can't even believe that it's stable, it's gonna lose it's shape, migrate everywhere and look stupid.
Also the nosejobe is not great, it's pretty pinched.

Either cope with your soyface or just have implants. Some people need a little bit of nip and tuck. This, is unnecessary.

I don't disagree that the behavioral tendencies (including sexual arousal) don't disappear when you are not actively fucking someone, but the framing of those tendencies as an identity that labels you is absolutely a cultural construct. To go back to the historical examples, the Athenian sexual identity was built around pederasty to the point of having it ritualized in the cult of Zeus. Most of the men who participated also had wives and children, but they would not have considered themselves "bisexual", nor would they have though of the receiving partner as on the same level of "gay" as the dominant partner. Gay, Bi, and Lesbian are labels we apply to behavioral tendencies that people display, and it is those behaviors that people sought to normalize and decriminalize in the gay rights movement.

The Bi thing in particular does matter, because there are people who claim a sexual attraction to the same sex these days, but display no actual behavioral tendency towards it. I'm thinking of Jameela Jamil in particular as an example here. She comes out as "queer" in an interview, talks about being attracted to women in a vague sense, and is feted as a "Queer WoC" despite being in a long term heterosexual relationship and having apparently had 0 issues ever with having her attraction policed. Unlike with the entirely made up trans identity, there is a real possibility she does experience attraction towards women, but so what? I, despite being gay, have also been attracted to and even slept with women, but my entire adult life post age 21 has been with men. I guess I could say that technically I'm bi, but behaviorally I'm not. Ultimately though, what I need from society is just the normalization of my behaviors (again, including the simple behavior of sexual attraction). If I chose to be a celibate monk, being bi, gay or straight would be irrelevant (thought I will admite there is a messiness here in the definition, since fear of reprisal can keep people from acting on their desires). But the underlying reality being reached for here is attraction and behavior. So, sexualities are real, but they emerge out of behavioral tendencies, and the way they are framed, understood and policed by cultures is what makes them identities. This is the same way that the biological reality of being a woman underlies the identity of "women", but an Inuk women's understanding of her role in society and her relationship to men is different then a French women. In both cases the biological reality is what is reached for, and even if the labels don't mean the exactly the same thing between cultures, they are not self-imposed (third gender categories are also an example of this). In contrast, if I was with a trans man and called myself "gay" , that identity is just as made up as being trans, because it's not actually reflective of any behavioral tendencies underneath. It's one of the ways that yes, troonism has essentially poisoned the concept of sexuality, by converting it into another post-modern identity, from a culturally framed material one.

The trans identity comes as a label first, self-applied and used to justify behavior. It's the opposite of "real" identities that emerge out of actual biological reality and behavior. This is the thing that drives me insane about these xenogender asexual transmascs etc. etc., no one can actually articulate what it means to be one of these things, because the label is all it is at the end of the day. Trans people aren't advocating for any particular thing, not even transition surgery is understood as a priority for the entire movement. The only consistent thing they want is for other people to call them by whatever label they've decided fits their soul, whether because they are a gross AGP fetishist or a teenage girl who wants to pretend to be boy. It operates purely in the post-modern abstract space that so much of modern culture exists in, totally divorced from any sort of connection to actual, physical reality. And, like I said, the label is used as a way of deflecting from behaviors that would otherwise be unacceptable. No one would accept the idea of a man violating women's spaces for sexual gratification, but with the magic of self-declared transness, that becomes a laudable goal.

I think ultimately what strikes me about the trans movement is that the argument is always "when I do this, it's a good thing" versus "this thing I do is not a bad thing". Even with something as drastic as SRS, the trans person is not arguing that everyone should have the right to remove their penis free of charge and without question by the state, they are arguing that their transness means that behavior anyone else would face pushback for should not apply in their case.

@Deepland Bystander the conditions we have been arguing about are a tiny minority of DSDs though. They stick out precisely because they are the interesting ones that are worth arguing over. Most people with DSDs are very clearly male or female.

These are thought experiments with no connection to human reality. We don't have cybernetic bodies and probably never will. Our consciousness is an epiphenomenon of our squishy meat bodies, you can't pluck a brain out of that and expect it to function in any recognizable way. We still can't even do transplants very well.

We are far less likely to see cool cybernetic bodies in the future and far more likely to see quasi-organ farming, if anything. I guess the best we can hope for is that people figure out how to grow the organs separately and don't keep them attached to people (ini some form) beforehand.

(if you were prone to that kind of thinking you might wonder whether part of the top-down push towards making it socially acceptable to remove healthy organs from young people might have a purpose related to this)

Anyway, if anyone is interested in some interesting reading, I found the full text of Martine Rothblatt's 2011 book online. It's funny how it only took ten years and a few billion dollars in funding for the ideas in the book to filter down to your average gender true believer. The creepiest part is skimming through it and recognizing arguments you've seen people recite almost word for word. For example:

"First, it is not true that all legally defined women are XX and all legally defined men are XY. Hundreds of thousands of people are born with all manner of chromosomal variations, including XXY and X, among others. The Olympics has ceased using chromosomal tests for a second X as a means of disqualifying women, after certain athletes—namely, persons with a vagina, a lifelong “female” gender identity, and but one X chromosome—were cruelly disqualified right at the quadrennial event. Similarly, the famous transsexual Renee Richards was ordered by a judge to be accepted into women’s tennis competition despite her XY chromosome makeup. The judge found her no different from any other ovariectomized and hysterectomized woman. Chromosomes are an unreliable means of classifying society into two sexes. They argue better for a continuum of sex types."
From a billionaire transsexual in 2011 to your average Redditor in 2022. You gotta laugh, I suppose.

It never occurred to me that the trans movement would be linked to transhumanist ideology, but it makes perfect sense.

I think you're getting my point wrong. When I brought that example, I don't mean to support troon billionaire's idea of 'transhumanism'. Martin Rothblatt is certainly eccentric rich who simply have enough money to live out pure fantasy without having to care about everyday people. He's chasing his escapist, hedonistic dream, obsessed with the idea of identity and individualistic ego...

If I'm going to say anything about transhumanism, it would be that seeing how much troonism is pushed, there bounds to be something worse in the future as medical technology 'progress'... Which is a messy process and troonism is part of it. So was lobotomy, people eating radium, blood letting, the list can go on. Regardless if we will have cool cybernetics or not, there are going to be 'test subjects' in our path, people who were harmed by medicine's hubris of its time. And they've got to live with the damage even when the procedure will be out of the vogue. Young detransitioners today are going to live with their regret for 60+ years. My transhumanism thought experiment isn't something I brought up with no connection to human reality, but rather a call to see 'people as they are', with all the physical truth they have... and accepting that sometimes, there's no neat answer we can easily put in word..

There's a reason why many detransitioners are so caught up with the idea that they're too damaging to be men or women (even if they're born with all things of that sex). And I feel like a big part of it is that we, as a society, cannot be honest with things that are outside our neat 'words' and have to assign value to them.

It's still a thought experiment, but looking for the 'victims' side, imagine you signed up to have your healthy parts removed by some kind of future-medical experiments, ending up having to live with uncool and painful body modifications. They may have to ask what all these are for.. Should we just push them away out of our sight, trying to play the semantics so they'd 'belong" to our standard of a perfect world, or.... I ask, can we accept them as they've got to be? (I know it started from DSD discussion, they're born that way... But since you started discussing the transhumanism aspects, so I'm talking about how could victims of very invasive, hypothetical medical procedures may have to accept their truth and I wish society could)

What I tried to say that there's a physical reality beyond our construct of language where I wish we could be honest about it... and I found trannyism to be the philosophical opposite of it... If you remember stuff I used to post here.

PL: Thank fuck I grew up in a conservative household and before children were raised online. Between the ages of 5 and probably about 13 I was insistent I was a boy stuck in a girl’s body, and my family all knew I just meant I was a tomboy. I hated the color pink, dresses, dolls, anything girly. Only wanted to play with trucks and outside in the dirt, mostly had boys for friends and just wanted to play video games, not talk about cute boys and makeup or whatever.

I’m so thankful that I was allowed to be a tomboy naturally, and even grew out of it by my teens. It’s so upsetting that young girls are made to believe they have to mutilate their bodies because they don’t enjoy girly things.

Apparently Ergo, some Philosophy (I assume) journal, published an article recently with this disclaimer. Based on several data points: a GC mutual follower; some GC-leaning tweets in his recent; and a comment in the replies that said "I bet you can guess the topic", I'm betting that the topic was Troon stuff.

Any Kiwi's with access to journals care to look it up to see? Might be interesting, since last I knew academics were heavily encouraged not to even talk about it. This could be more evidence that the tide is shifting.
out of curiosity, I searched for the article and found it here. I didn't read it carefully though, academic philosophical sperging is not my thing, unfortunately. perhaps some smart kiwi will be bored enough to read it and give us some tl;dr? all I know is that the article is about the meaning of "woman" and the troon aspect appears a lot

I guess the orthodoxy now is the massive surge of estrogen that happened during puberty "hurt" you by changing who you "really" were, a pure, immutable quality that evidences itself in childhood. You continue to be a male trapped in a female body, but now your chance to have your physical sex (including your brain!) line up with your mystical woo-gender has been forever ruined.
