I agree, but if Joss Whedon is involved in any way it's ABSOLUTELY sexual. Using the Marvel movies as an example, the non-Whedon MCU films had dozens of occurrences of female characters being put in mortal danger (I mean, they're superhero movies) without it being sexualized, but as soon as he was at the helm, it was "any threat to any female character has a weird sexual overtone." Like I'm not saying the others are feminist masterpieces or that any sexual threat in a movie is always a result of a fetish, just that Joss's scenes all had that weird "I jerked off while writing this" sheen to them.

No, not really but I wouldn't be surprised that they didn't do anything either. Most male criminals don't do sex crimes, they prefer consensual fun with girls into bad boys. They are happy enough with violence, robberies, drugs, cons and/or what ever crime is their thing. It's pretty similar that many sex criminals don't bother robbing people they are raping because they are there to rape not rob. They might take a trophy like panties or a picture but actually taking stuff just for monetary gains isn't in the agenda.
