From my understanding, Ali was more instrumental behind the scenes in the actual planning of these Stop The Steal rallies. While Nick likes to claim these were his rallies, he was really just speaking at pre-planned events and Ali always made sure Nick has a chance with the megaphone.
The highlight of his involvement in all of this has to be him ruffling feathers by calling a hillbilly a hillbilly. Nick would bring it up a lot because it drew a lot of negative attention and stirred up drama. I think it's hilarious.

Nick has claimed in the past that he was there at Charlottesville, but wasn't in attendance of the protest-turned-riot. I'm hazy on the details, but he claims that he went back to Chicago either the day of or the night before. He's said that he wasn't at the tiki march, but whether it was because he just didn't go or because he had already gone home, I don't remember. As far as I know there aren't any photographs of Nick at Charlottesville, so even if he lied there isn't any proof.
