There is no such thing as a deleted FB account. All of your info is saved and archived. When you delete your account you only delete your access to it. The originals remain.
I know this because I’ve got accounts I scrubbed years ago that pop off group content warnings in groups that I manage. Posts made 7-8 years ago are being reviewed and bans being issued, even if the user is no longer a member of the site. All the delete buttons do is hide content, it’s always saved on FB.

Good thing I got rid of mine 11 years ago. Nothing for the Chicoms to buy other than dead addresses, lost friends, cringey shirts, and the facial recognition data of an adolescent who looks nothing like his current self. Get bent Zuckerkike.

People who use stuff like Whatsapp are the real niggercattle of society. If they have a cell phone then they are already paying for access to the PSTN and can call or SMS text anyone in the world with no "apps". Yet the chose to get locked in a walled garden and harvested by zuckerBerg willingly.

The majority of WA users are either doing illicit transactions on wifi enabled burner phones or 3rd world people without cellular service.

Maybe it's just me with my autistic speculations, but governments worldwide won't comply with American companies if the shit really hits the fan. What is considered as misinformation for one country can be considered as true in some other contexts in other nations.

I agree about the internet becoming more "balkanized", with messaging apps such as Whatsapp, Discord and even private groups in Facebook, users are increasingly communicating daily to the same select number of people, rather to the world at wide.

Web 1.0 felt like an information highway open to all (like this forum), today's internet feels like a collection of cliques, where none of them talk to one other.

Though I don't think it will be because of localisation/regionalisation of social media services, I see it happening within even the same locality.

reminds me of when people couldn’t even turn on their lights because amazon servers were having issues. i’m sure they really appreciate the modern convenience of key cards while they can’t even get into their office.
