might be keen to get back into the game with MR5 depending on the entry cost (or just borrow shit and quit again in a month)
 
I've bee debating getting back into it full force too, but a lot of the types I'd like to play (Madolche, Dragonmaid, etc.) Cost way too much for me. If someone has some cheap, strong types they could suggest, I'd love to hear them.
 
Most of the money is still in staples/extra deck.

New banlist just came out and a new set comes out next week, probably best waiting at least 3-4 weeks or a few weeks after the rule changes. Apparently altergeists are cheap and weren't hit, red reboot to 1 prob helps out a fair bit. Pretty boring deck unless you enjoy guy, set 5 pass.
I'm thinking of making that janky danger/gren maju deck

True Draco, Endymion (even after the hits, Trif topped with a post-banlist Pendulum deck), Burning Abyss, Zombies, Lunalights are very valid options.

I mean, you could argue the fleeting moments of balanced gameplay during seasons is fun. Besides, though it is unbalanced, there still exists ways to turn the tables and snag a win due to how cards don't require mana to play likn MTG, Duel Masters, etc. But to each his own, I guess

i mean i enjoy drafting/sealed and i lost my last one to a sped who pulled nuts and saw it on curve all 3 games.

its got the same appeal as legacy/vintage, being able to go massive for fuck all but also being able to be punished for the same amount

(also you cant draw lands 5 turns in a row)

I don't know shit about modern trading card game meta but that is word for word what yugioh was founded on

Maxx "C" has FINALLY been mass-reprinted. Just bought 50+ of them, now I have enough for most of my decks 😎

So I've long been on and off with the game. Recently been playing a lot more due to a few pet decks getting new support. (For example, I'm loving the new Dark Magician support recently released.)

Also, while Spyral is really dominant after the new ban list, I really like this new meta a lot more than the Sky Striker/Orcust one we had before.
 
When are Fabled getting new cards :mad:

I can't believe Barbaros actually got a fucking new card while Fabled gets nothing REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Also Fire/Earth Shadoll main deck monsters when REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Draft would be an okay way to play Yugioh, but there has never been any major draft tournaments in my country. We recently got a new store in my area that has normal tournaments again after two years of the game being completely dead (stores stopped having tournaments because no one showed up since 2014-15 so they became MTG tournaments until Pokemon because a thing again), but that will probably die out pretty quickly too. The store isn't in a good area and not enough people interested in playing the game, just interest in collecting misprinted cards.

Most comic stores have Magic tournaments here, few have Pokemon tournaments still. Nothing for the Transformers CCG despite it actually being a good game surprisingly, that seems to be mainly a Toronto game. Force of Will was never a thing here, people just collected the cards for the artwork. Weiss Schwarz also not a thing here. Card shops still have their MtG games, Pokemon games, and Warhammer 40k tournaments, even some Age of Sigmar. I think the last time we had a huge tournament here for Yugioh was in 2013, after that the game started to die down until it finally died in 2015.
 
I hope this is the right thread for this.

So when I was real little I really like yugioh and I would get my dad to play it with me. Well anyway he got me these collectible tins of cards and wouldn’t let me touch them, saying it was for later. Well fast foward like 18 years and I was going through some of his stuff and found the tins.

Turns out I have a bunch of the original cards, including a whole bunch of holographics. Really super exciting find and brang back a bunch of memories.

The cards I’m showing are all holographic.
