I was pissed because I always wanted a Hero deck as a kid but the best cards were bloody expensive.

And when they finally became affordable for me, Master Rule 4 killed them.

Not really, they have some link monsters that are alright, plus the new predaplant link.

Hell, even Neos Wiseman is gonna be legit because now they have a retrain that can be summoned with Neos Fusion. Hero's aren't dead, but they are gonna be like Cydras, too expensive for what they can do competitively.

Edit: Also, Superpoly and D. Hero Malicious is at 3. They are far from dead, that's the point.

They got more than enough tops this year, after the new cards on Sisters of the Rose and being able to mix with PK, Danger's and Orcust because they are Dark Attribute.

"A little salvageable" is an understatement.

I currently use a LV3 Psychic Synchro, but I also own enough cards to make a Desperado, Mermail, Ancient Gear, Blue-Eyes, Darkwing, and Red-Eyes. I'm still waiting for a Darkwing structure deck (if it ever comes out anyway, but Konami seems to hate 5D's for some reason)
 
There is not too much you could put on a 5D's SD without making T0 or having to hit something. Resonators and Blackwings might get way too many good cards from a 5D's SD. More Blackwings support would be dope though, ngl. A Synchro deck sounds fine, depending on what kind of synchros do you have. AG, BE and RE are also good to KoG. Mermails are also fine, but I don't know if you have enough WATER support for that.

I dunno, with the fucking Samurais still running amok, I still think adding stronger cards from anime archetypes would still work. I mean fuck, every time I see a Yusei nowadays he's using Samurais, and Jack with Blue-Eyes. Fuck

As for WATER support, I have enough to build a decent deck (Though I don't have enough jems to start digging for the new Chrystrons)

Yeah, I saw that. I'm more scared of the Union Link than anything else. Inb4 Dragon Buster Destruction Sword gets banned just because of that monster. Although there's also a Lunalight "lock" that results in infinite monster negation. Boy, we are gonna get some shit soon.

That Union link is quite a monster… endless solitaire fun to be had. There's also that Endymion link which could lead to a Tempest Magician FTK. And Konami has released a statement saying that yes, you can override the NS/SS restrictions of Red-Eyes Fusion with the new Predaplant link… hohoho I just can't wait for the upcoming Limit Regulations.

On a side note, may I just bitch about how a Secret Rare Five-Headed Link Dragon costs less than an Ultra Rare Predaplant link…
 
I don't get how people can still play this game. It has no balance to it and majority of the shops no longer hold any tournaments. There's also no return on investment since the creator was a dumbass and said you couldn't win money at tournaments so there goes any incentive for professional players. I have games made by feminists that are better than this, they at least understood some game design rules.
 
Alright, I've got a fuckton of shit today.
1. Fusion, Synchro, and XYZ monsters are no longer required to be Special Summoned onto the EX monster zones or Link zones (Pendulums got rekt). This also means Halqifibrax is on suicide watch, expect him to be terminated in April.
2. New "Rush Duels" are coming up. From what I've gathered,
*You can Normal Summon multiple times in a single turn
*Every Draw Phase, you draw multiple cards so you always have 5 cards in your hand
*New Rush Duel exclusive cards
*There are time limits to every duel
3. New card format (though it is unknown if this is for Rush Duel cards only or all cards from now) looks like ABSOLUTE SHIT

5. Seeing as our favorite dragon is already in the promo material, it's highly possible that "old" cards can still be used in the new format (though to what extent I don't know atm)

6. I just bought a Legendary Gold Box and I had possibly the worst combination of new cards. I has a sad.

They're both bad, but in different ways. I hate both tbh. Love their decks tho, which is a shame.

I just hope Konami doesn't fuck up and pull another Firewall Dragon on us. Whoever thought introducing that card (as the MC's signature card no less) deserves to be shunned from the TCG industry forever.
