I say it's a combo of him realizing that 3d printers are around $300-$500 each and the fact that he would have no idea how to use it.
I still say he's trying to get someone who knows how to use one to model and 3d print Sonichu medallions to appease the people who haven't gotten the ones they paid for yet while not paying them for doing Chris' job for him.
He might even get the 3d printer guy to make new merch for him (Sonichu figures) and giving him a whopping 10-25% for literally doing all the work.
I also feel like Chris feels that 3d printing will let him make and ship 100 medallions a day.
You might be right, at least partially. but making a design for a 3D printing would take way too much effort on Chris' part. He would actually have to ...you know...learn how to do something.
He doesn't even like learning when it comes to video games. He plays the same type of games over and over again, he doesn't challenge himself
So I really think even CHRIS knows he won't have the skill or knowledge to make whatever it is he wants 3-d printed

Its weird, you go back to the early days and Chris is atleast somewhat willing to go outside his comfort zone, just a bit lazy. Our little autsitic boy has grown up now and doesnt even have the ability to even try to act like a normal person
I don't think that he gets the only reason people buy them at all is for the autistic pleasure of knowing he made it in his half-assed incompetent way.
Is he trying to pull his hair forward to look more feminine, or to cover the baldness? Cos both are a distant dream (much like his chances of someone genuinely taking him up on his request).
So... this is the question. Was Chris starting to go bald before the tomgirl saga? Or is this a new thing? I only ask because holy shit its pretty damn obvious in this video.
I mean, if he was starting to go bald before, then slathering himself with oestrogel isn't exactly going to help without a hormone blocker. It'll just ramp up his testosterone production and cause his hair to recede faster then ever.
(Honestly, we should get a side by side of Chris and AIDS Skrillex to see who has the worse hair...)
If he does somehow come across someone who will let him use their printer to make whatever it is he is after, I would love to see the look on his face when he realizes he still has to paint it. Oh wait, I know the reaction already, Chris will just give the guy an excuse why he can't do it him self and beg the printer owner to do it. Fatty still needs time for Vidya, toys and body destroying fast food after all, 24 hours worth in fact.
Chris impulsively wants access to a 3D printer, while driving in his car, so he immediately posts a video to Facebook asking for it. Does that make Youtube the new Santa Claus? I think it's either custom LEGO or cheap medallions. Chris thinks 3D printers are magic. He doesn't understand how they work, and he;s going to be disappointed and give up.

Chris is so bad at negotiation that I think he would try to get the poor guy to do it for 1% of the profits.Said guy with the 3d printer will be gone before Chris realizes what happened
I hope whichever troll is able to lure him in will document every step of this Christoric journey. Maybe he'll ask Chris to send him the best CAD render of his project in MS Paint format? Maybe he'll sell Chris a breadmaker?

Come on all you guys saying Chris wouldn't know how to run a 3d printer. Let me remind all of you that this is the same miracle wunderkind who inherited the technological genius of Bob Chandler, who made 3d printers possible by designing the controls on a plastic molding machine (which, in layman's terms = Bob invented plastic).
Then, at the tender age of 12 years old, "only takes a few hours to master an electronic game, and then he moves on to the next".
He spent 6 years pursuing a CADD degree when lesser, less dedicated draftsmen give up after a mere 2.
If that's how he goes out in public then I can't really blame anyone for not wanting to interact with him. If you squint hard enough and ignore his receding hairline, it almost looks like his mom is at the wheel.
I'm gonna guess that more people who haven't gotten their medallions are threatening him with refunds/reporting his Etsy shop, which is why he needs one now NOW NOW NOW.
I do like that he's only teasing it, like he says he wants one but will make us wait to see why he wants one. Cliffhanger Chris is my favourite Chris, makes the wait all the more fun as people speculate.
