Will they ever find a cure for schizophrenia?

It's not very likely, but a full cure isn't necessarily a good thing either. They'll likely be able to vastly improve life quality if not treat it to such a point that they may not hallucinate, no longer be prone to delusions, have excessive paranoia and so on but the more you try to cure it the more you have to implicitly change a person into something other than themselves. Schizophrenia deeply roots into someone's personality, which can be seen well with the many negative symptoms('negative' refers to the category) with things like a flat affect, asociality and apathy.

Best chance for anything that can cure it, or any of its symptoms, is going to be via gene therapies.
 
We could probably cure most if not all diseases with current technology save for lack of funding and inefficiencies in the market and research structure. AIDs was considered a hopeless death sentence not too long ago and with enough money its been turned into a conveniently chronic condition.
