All I know is that if you refuse to believe you have problems, you will never get past those problems. He won't take that first step to say "maybe I should consider that I don't know it all."

Even his reasonings of why he won't do that is getting sadder and more loony. It used to be the typical retorts of people high on their own faults, like we all have our problems, or you aren't perfect either as well as down playing how much these problems effect him.

How sure are we that it’s just the tism? He may not have gotten the criticism growing up but he sure has over the past ten years which seems to have only exacerbated whatever lingering problems he has. I am of the camp that something else is going on. Extreme dysphoria... He does have illusions of grandeur for sure. I’m not a doctor but I would be really interested to hear what one had to say in Chris’s case.

Chris very definitely has issues greater than autism. He almost certainly has some type of mood disorder and schizotypy and a whole set of disordered personality characteristics. Only individual observation will be able to give an actual diagnosis though; so much has to be evaluated personally, although with Chris, we can easily delude ourselves into feeling like we know the man that well.
Oh it is so much more than the tism. People with his level of Autism can function just fine in society. Hell I was in the same grade as my neighbor who had SEVERE autism. The guy would rock back and forth and go "Ahhhhhhhhhh" and play with his ears and then spout off random crap. He lives in an assisted living home and holds down a job wiping counters and such at Home Depot. Chris is no where near as severe as this guy (and he's only a few years older than us so back then they were just figuring out how to treat this shit) and he can't even hold down a basic job as a food runner at Wendy's.
Sure but his inability to hold a job or even get hired for one is easily explained by his internet presence and history. If I was unaware of Chris and he came in to apply I would do a quick background check and immediately decide my business doesn’t need that kind of notoriety.
I'm unaware of his state's civil services and he's not exactly on the good side of those who tried like Rocky but some places have a pretty impressive net work of tard wranglers.
Regardless there are jobs where companies provide for tax breaks to help disabled people get jobs. My former neighbor wasn't hired because Home Depot was really in need of an autistic to do that job. It was because there is a network of companies that have a gamut of jobs that provide a PR move for companies to hire the tards. It's fucked up but it's not impossible for him to get a job. Also Chris isn't nearly as famous to your average person as you think, the net's a big place. If he is kept from interacting with customers and could do a decent job, someone would hire him. Chris is just fucked up from something beyond da tism.

Well yeah but in the beginning when Kacey tried to get him to get a job (the only redeeming thing she did since she was an annoying cunt), he could have easily gotten a crappy entry level job at Target or Wal-Mart. Believe me, I have worked at both and they take anyone. I mean anyone who is willing to work the very bare minimum (and in a lot of cases not even that). I am sure if he went through a workforce commission (Texas has this, I'm sure Virginia does as well) they would provide a ton of support for someone with his condition.
